haven't decided yet, I still have to try out baking the fiber-mesh stuff to see what will work (sick children make getting anything done damn impossible) but otherwise I was planning on adding more detail and going Brink style with their sculpted hair.
working on a grenade launcher RGS-50M...finished the blockout recently and did a few of the pieces....hopefully i got the scale and size properly for the various pieces
@HP; love it!
I don't know if its just me or not, but having the city in the background is really distracting, since there is so much going on with the 2 models already.
I finished this M16A4 a bit ago but kept procrastinating on posting. Designed for first person and third person use and swappable attachments. Also made a 360 video and another large image.
Credit for the knife and pouches to John Shuman. Everything else by me. All renders were in Marmoset Toolbag.
biofrost, that scene looking really awesome but I think the bricks in the room on the right look out of place. Maybe they're too large. Otherwise, keep at it mate. Looking really good.
The same goes for everybody else in this thread, awesome work, holy shit.
I wanted to try focusing on customization with this one. I have a master material for the bike body, and one for the jet engine...all the combinations are instances of those master materials. I made a couple different "stripe masks" so the colors are just picked in the material instance. Stickers are a separate mesh, though.
jeremiah that is some damn good work. just goes to show that even a straight forward prop like a backpack can be exciting with strong execution.
went back to my pistol, with a custom pitting brush i made from photo ref, in order to get the pitting looking like it ought to. much happier with it now:
Some of the stuff you guys post is amazing! I'm gonna stick this screenshot here because I don't think I'm worthy of putting my own thread up yet.
It's a game I'm building in CryEngine 3. I've modelled everything but most if not all of the textures are from CGTextures. Crits are welcome but it's very unfinished! I hope you like it!

Do not pull that trigger unless you want to lose some fingers.
HeyHey I got a bit tried of working on my demon guy so I started on something else... a dwarf warrior or something. Its a very early wip he will get a lot more gear and a big hammer to smash his enemies!
Scudz, your work has gotten steadily and noticeably better over the past few months. That head looks far more naturalistic and subtle than previous stuff you've done.
FUUU you guys are amazing artists! and alls i've got is a nekkid goblin! if you guys see anything you wanna comment on, please let me know in my wip thread (link in my signature). thanks!

A wild modular wall appears!
Yes, you read that right.
Anyway, very nice work Swizzle
only crit would be that the leather is looking a little boring and could use some wear and tear
Haha, loved the spot of bird poo on the helmet! Great work!

What a great bag! Love it. Could I ask which program did you use to model/sculpt it?
Directly to my inspiration folder
Temple Wip - call it almost done ...
Crits Welcome
It´s a very old model that finally got textures and stuff.
Maybe alpha maps for the cloth and a base and of course I will pose him someday... but not now ^^
It's off to a good start, you might want to take a look at JasonLavoie's for some examples of lighting and some detail bits.

I'm building a simple enivronment/scene for displaying my effects:
If it interrests anyone, you can see the max file here(3ds max 2012, if it says you need vray, try and merge the file)
