@ Lextripper -- I think it reminds you of the arenanet challenge ... but there are arguably no copied elements in eazy's concept. They look like they are from the same universe for sure ... and you could even hotswap one costume for the other due to body types, but the elements that make the costumes are very different.
EDIT -- my bust, didn't realize it was the same concept artist :P They are still different costumes tho
oh its also from arenanet xD.
i just looked at the concept, no wonder it looks so similar.
awesome challenge btw.
i might enter to if my other work doesn't interfere me to much.
Idk if its me but she seems a little crosseyed, and her cheekbones feel a bit strong. Though it's preference since its your own interpretation and it was an anime style cartoon xD
@ae. I'm pretty sure it's a lady from Frank Herbert's Dune series. @Intervain I really dig the model, maybe a little emissive with the eyes to really sell the "Spice" radiation thing?
I must have done something wrong while recording it because the tiling didn't line up correctly when I baked it out. I suspect it could be a scale issue since the mesh came into Maya really huge and offset to the side by quite a bit. I haven't used this method extensively yet so I don' know all the ins and outs yet, but I'd say the basic concept is solid.
Also, pardon the stuttering and stumbling over words. First time recording a tutorial like that so my Speechcraft skill needs to be leveled up some more.
I started reading Peter Pan to my son a few weeks ago. And after finishing the book I really wanted to do a re-design of the character. The final scene of the book was titled An Afterthought. After defeating hook, Wendy and the lost boys return to England. Peter stays behind alone and vows to never grow up, but promises to to visit Wendy every year. This continues with her and her children throughout many Generations. He refuses to grow up and continues on his adventures forever. It was something that was added a few years after it's original printing by author J.M. Barrie, and it really changed my perspective on the book and the character. It's really kind of tragic.
"Sacred! As with all things sacred, it gives with on hand and takes with the other. it extends life and allows the adept to forsee his future, but it ties him to a cruel addiction and marks his eyes as yours are marked: total blue without any white, Your eyes, you organs of sight, become one thing without contrast, a single view."

So I have been too long of a lurker, and I let my skills get soggy and weak. Getting myself back up to par though. I always have bumps on my sculpts though. Does anyone else get these bumps? How do you guys deal with them? I cant seem to sculpt a smooth surface for the life of me.
