I found the wheels usually use a different (finer) grade of carbon fibre weave, or sometimes a different material, because they're the only bits that tend to stay on from interation to iteration.
And now for some modern art to farewell Falcon.

Slice taken about halfway up the teapot, using a displaced grid, streamlines and mesh coloured by ambient pressure, from red (high) to blue (low).
Nice texturing, JackyBoy! May I ask what your workflow was for creating the textures?
Thanks! Usually I start with a plain texture of painted metal, just so it has a little bit of variation. Then just keep layering on new textures (rust, dirt etc) and use layer masks A LOT. This way you can build up dirt in a non destructive way
@ onelung : You know I LOVE it. Seriously rad sculpt.

Spent some time playing with the straps. I think this is sort of how I am going to go, but I am going to knock back some of the scratches a bit and add some Celtic Knots to them and see how it goes. I hope by Monday I will have something a little more to show.
It is a new head. They all are. They used a share a basemesh, now they don't even share that. I'm working hard to get outside my style, but that takes time and practice (which I am putting in as hard as I can).
