Some sweet work here guys, love the chicken facepalm ranger. Soooo here is a concept I'm working on, its just the head ortho for my yakuza sci-fi character. Got alot of work left to do on it. Ill post up more updates as I get through this have a good day everyone
Hey all, just wanted to introduce myself and show off what ive been working on for the past few weeks. Not as awsome as some of the stuff ive seen on this site, but I wanted to get some insight into what ive done so far since i am kind of stuck as to what to do next. seems like its mostly opinion at this point. anyways i hope you like what i produced.
I'm really digging this character but judging from the wireframe, you're gonna have a hell of a time animating him. There's just not the appropriate topology to bend and deform properly. Unless this guy has an incredibly limited range of motion or is a statue, I don't think your topology is going to be very useful.
Thanks for the feedback man, Yeah you were right, so i added some edge loops based off the polycount topology thread.
Hopefully it's looking better. Sorry for bad quality gif.
I rigged it and tested the deformations out and it's okay.

Looks so much better! Just curious, does he have any facial animation planned? If so, you might want to add some loops around his face. But if not, you're on the right track. Great job!

Nawh, i was thinking about it but his eyes don't have lids and well, I should have thought about eye movement . I was thinking of adding staple like things around his lids keeping his eyes open.

Looking great! Are you planning on creating the rest of the character in 2d at that kind of res?
A revolver/energy gun for my character I've been working on. It has about 3.8k tris, and 4 512x512 maps(diffuse/normal/spec-gloss/anisotropic direction). Still need to work on the scratches, and tweak the spec map. Also it's rendered in marmoset.

HA thanks for noticing my silly chicken, your concept looks rad. Can i sense hints of influence from Deus EX and Metal Gear Solid?
nice work man, u might want to break that straight lines on the floor, maybe add some supporting beam, alter the tiles or add some grate that goes horizontally ( i hope u understand what i mean)
GCMP: I will be creating the full body but not at that res or even style, it would take far too long and might aswell make a 3d model instead which i plan to do actually
Facepalm Ranger: A little from deus ex, but mainly from Japanese Yakuza culture and style. Once I've finished the fullbody you will see what I mean

What is it...
I don't know what this is j1ll, but I like it
New name b1ll ?? you replaced the b by a j ?
If not, your style reminds me of b1ll's (which is a fucking compliment )

Nice texturing, JackyBoy! May I ask what your workflow was for creating the textures?
Can anyone guess where this is going? haha.
Is it David Bowie?
