sheckee, cheers! I'm excited about soon getting to texture her!
Almost finished modelling her and did a quick test to see how the topology works when bending and twisting the character since I'd love to make some animations for her after texturing. Pose Rin Yu, pose!
Really great texturing here I think you could bring a lot of your white highlights down to a 15-20% range instead of bring so intense. Your color range and materials are great, but staying out of that range is nicer for implementation with darker scenes. Nice job though!
@tsabszy: What Daven said, plus, personally I really dig the greenish tint on the gray areas, althought it's a bit overpronounced in the concept. Maybe try adding it just a bit in the texture so it gets to, like, halfway between the current texture and the concept?

thank you very much for your input Max! really appreciated! always keeping an eye on your posts your works are really amazing!
felipefrango thank you, good idea! recently i realized my monitor at home shows everything in pretty bad color. and i can't calibrate it. i'll try to do as you suggested on my next practice works! thanks!
This is my third head sculpt in Zbrush, It has a likeness to Walt but i think next time i can go even further. I'm just trying to refine my skills yo'
I've been watching a loooooot of Breaking Bad lately.
@jaydon The sculpt is great, the likeness is awesome well done Although I think the image could of done without the green smoke that is floating off to the right of the screen.
Me and a friend have been working together, taking turns and giving each other tips, on a simple (at the moment) model.

Anyway ended up turning it into this.
This is really sweet. The only thing is the shadow of the glasses. It takes me a few seconds for my eyes to tell what is a shadow and what is not. Might want to play with that a bit... yo.
Thanks jackalope! I feel the same way about the glasses. They were a last minute add on in the render because it just wasn't him without them. will play witht he shadows if i get time (yo' Bitch yo'):)
@Ferg: shark week? amazing surfacing as usual. reads as a nice shark skin texture even from far away. @Scythe: thanks for your awesome hair tutorials, going to be putting them to use this week looking great also
noticed the jagex art test and figured id do a zsketch ... i love how you can make total bullcrap basemeshes and just work with them now with dynamesh and qremesh
I've done some exercise texturing stuff, sculpted one rock out in zbrush from zsphere, then used zbrush 2.5D mode to position, rotate and scale rocks on planar while making sure it will tile then I rendered few maps out including height map using Zgrabber, the rest was painted in photoshop, instead of slapping whole texture over and masking out I tend to use clone stamp to paint details sourced from photo.

@Swizzle: Looking forward to seeing the breakdown of that shader, it's looking goood.
Here's a little low res hand painted texture practice from me. I need a lot more practice so I don't have to rework everything 500 times.
Also I didn't make it tileable yet...
So I'm going to bring these back into Max, rotate the bricks a bit and swap them about to make 2 or 3 different textures for some variety.

I really like this. I love the contrast between the low-saturation bits and the higher-saturation bits.
Please tell me you're leaving this in and I will buy it on day 1.

Gonna change up his costume a bit
Keep smashing it everyone.

Very interesting, I'm actually working on the exact same gun. O_O
Still need to tweak some colors and normals, and of course add in a spec map. Next up is to add some grunge. Crits are most welcome.

At the moment, it's somewhere between being a game prototype, and being a fake game prototype.
Phew, calling the high done. Took some time since i'm only working during my breaks at work
Now, time for retopology !
That environment reminds me of Medieval
