Hey duncan, sweet start! did you try the profile of the 2d sketch? it could be too harsh for a 3d conversion but it might be worth a try, yours right now seems to lack the flow a bit.
Always been working towards the next portfolio piece, so I decided that it was time to just let go and have some fun. During the 10 or so years I've been doing 3d I haven't done one single orc so...
Zwebbie, that's awesome. I love the simplicity, she has a lot of character!
If you don't mind me asking, what matcap and BPR (I assume?) settings are you using? Having a hard time rendering anything with ambience decently in zbrush, would be great to know.
Of course I don't mind you asking, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to disappoint you; the left is a render from Blender with the default material and only a point and hemi light. The right is a bit of an elaborate paintover consisting mostly of a colour ramp. I've never used ZBrush in my life .

I'm currently working on a Flintlock pistol ( East India Company Dragoon) for a personal project.
I'm not sure about the flint mechanism though, I have problems fully visualizing it due to lack of technique and image references available on the net.

Yes I have this feeling his physique was exaggerated in shots. About the jacket, I was hoping you would say that! I would rather he be in a more, military grade style, showing of more of his strength? It is hard to explain, I stumbled on this video, that may or may not be of use to you!
