Hi guys, here's another update on my spider...I worked on the face and claws since the last post. Going to work on the spikes and back legs in the meantime.

And thanks for the tutorial, I'm doing a mountain top environment at the moment so I may put that material of yours to use. Glad to see my guesses as to how it works were pretty close to the target.
Long time, no post from me. This is supposed to be a 5m tall pillar in an environment I'm doing for practice.
Will have to re-unwrap and rebake the textures on the mesh, since i only now noticed the ugly seam across the guy's neck.
That won't be a problem, since the texture is created in a very non-destructive way using adjustment layers and masks in photoshop.
Here's an update on my UDK piece i've renamed the ARK. I think it's almost finished. Probably only going to add some more small things to the corridor and maybe a console unit at the green hologram now with some buttons.

i love the new insertbrushes - the tri IMM and the mesh fusion function... also very nice is the transpose enhancement ... check the videos for some demonstration ... overall it is a great update to zbrush the new retopofunction is very nice too ...

romy- that pirate castle is f-ing fantastic!!- Maybe it needs a third, smaller island with some sort of structure on it- gallows perhaps? mainly just for triangulation purposes. That way its not so "side view" dependent.

Gir- You've always been nice with the characters- but that rogue is a serious level up.
