Another (or the same?) Rockstar leak answering questions on 4chan. Should be fake, but it's kiiiinda plausible since apparently he hinted lots of things before the release of the trailer that were later confirmed.
There's some inconsistency in those comments. The scale of the environment varies from comment to comment and they mention that the world is both landlocked and surrounded on two sides by the ocean.
All of these supposed leaks have smelt a bit dubious but this one particularly so.
Yeah, I'd bet all of these are fake. To be honest I'm not even fond of such rumormongery but GTA games are the only ones who get me this excited and hungry for any bit of info around. Apparently for this particular case it's been said that R* beta testers only have access to small portions of the game and no tester could've known all that, and after that was pointed out the story was changed. The only info that seem kinda plausible has been the one from that dude that said a lot of stuff that was in the trailer before it came out, but then again it could've just been a lucky guess, his predictions were kinda vague and obvious after all.
The long wait is over at last. With the December issue, Grand Theft Auto V fans can pore over every detail we could get about Rockstar Games' highly anticipated sequel. Over the course of 18 pages (our biggest cover story yet!), we introduce the three main protagonists, discuss the groundbreaking way you use them, and explore the reimagined Los Santos โ the biggest open world Rockstar has created to date. The massive feature also divulges and dissects many more aspects of the game fans won't want to miss.
On a semi related note, have you folks read Jacked yet? It's a book that looks at the development of Rockstar and the Grand Theft Auto franchise from the beginning, written by David Kushner, the guy who wrote Masters of Doom about id. I don't think it's quite as good as the first, simply because the tale of Romero, Carmack et al lends it self so well to a non-fictional narrative, but it still makes for really interesting reading.

Yeah the game looks massive and I'm definitely getting it. But it also looks way outdated in terms of graphics. A new generation of console hardware would do this games some good...

They said to be taking GTA into a more serious direction, with housing market and credit crunch being the order of the day.
Yet in the trailer, what I see is 3 older peeps with families, piloting jets, crashing trains and and their kids riding a boat shaft while being driven on the highway, towed by a family car.
I honestly don't know if this is the biggest prank they pulled, or the most awesome game ever that could be a Drama-Comedy...

Well, GTA always been about the humour, IV was a bit too much boring for a GTA imo.
The game looks legendary, with lots of action and massive map. Can't wait
The tone of GTA4 was a bit schizophrenic. This looks like they've carried over some of the social commentary but have kept things a bit more fun action movie style which should work far better. The fact that they've got 3 characters now will mean that they can bounce from a poignant moment with one doing something crazy with another without it stretching the character as much as when it was just one guy doing it all too.
That looks good. Will probably get it on a console, and then buy it again on steam on the cheap once they release episodes (should be out on PC by then). Are they hinting at a Mac release with that shot in the psychiatrists office?
Sorry if this was asked and answered before.. Any news regarding the PC release yet, will it be simultaneous with the consoles or will it follow at a later date?
I'm also losing hopes for the PC version. Such a shame, it would be so amazing.
Would be awesome if they announce the PC version on the release date for consoles.
The new trailer looks really good though.

It's a huge upgrade from 4 to 5, I wouldn't say its outdated, sandbox games tend to look a bit rougher.
