I don't think the prizes were ever the motivating factor behind DW, that I would agree with. It's always the massive event of bring multiple communities together for a friendly competition that gets everyone stoked.
I hope that PC's comp lives up to a certain epicness...I also hope you all somehow find that over the next few years it blossoms into an annual event that exemplifies what the 3d global forums are all about.
So dreamed last night Adam posted the Contest rules and regs. He called it Venue in my dream and it was about how you're environment/char must come from a venue type background. IE circus/carnival/rally etc.... Lol Imagine a SlipGateCentral Clown >.<

My prize would be that I could participate in the same type of competition GODS participate in, no chance in hell of making anything good but still, the experience would be what mattered, and what you learned.

Maybe so But what I enjoyed most with unearthly was the teamwork was looking forward to more of that, but then someone told me it would be solo entries only, and I was made very sad! maybe I was lied to, maybe not

thats why i added the "even if they dont finish" clause. also, i finished some realtime CG comps back in the day, so :P on your face.
