This page is awesome. It's really refreshing to see a page full of environments, rather than one full of characters/individual props. Nice work fellas!
First time post in this thread, I should more often. Lots of great work here guys keep it coming!
Here's a mech I've been working on here and there for little bits of time lately. Roughly based on a concept by Junji Okubo. My awesome girlfriend Genevieve rigged the sucker for me...totally feels like I'm playing with an old mech action figure or something
Trying to paint more interesting textures, and familiarizing myself with game texturing. The blade decor stuff makes it interesting in 1st person, which is good.
Ported to Oblivion as usual... A shame it has no jigglybones for the ribbon so it's in a fixed position.
Realized that since I'm new and it was my first post that it didn't show up until their where 3 more pages of posts on top of it... Well I've done some more work anyway.

Very nice! Looks like it would fit right into Hawken. (Compliment)
Finally got this done. I'm proud of the range of expressions he can do and it's a simple setup (regular CAT human with an extra bone on the head for the hair tips, two bones for the eyebrows and two for the mouth corners) but I'm sure it could be further optmized, I'm still learning the whole skinning and rigging drill. Crits welcome!
Starting to build the Golden Gate Bridge... in "High Poly", I'll only be using enough polygons to get the necessary detail so that it works at the right viewing scale. This is the first modular asset, it's 2026 tris.
Damn nice ocarian, I love it! I like the way you painted the clothes and specially the hair, but IMHO I feel the skin is somewhat lacking in detail, it looks flat compared to the rest. Maybe just painting subtle tone differences like some soft ambient occlusion on the inside of the elbows and knees or the armpits.
I'm trying to find an internship this summer, so I put together this small piece to help seal the deal. Been working on it for 3 days now. I've never made a low-poly environment, so please be critical!
@echoperson - great work! I think some time could be spent profitably on the trees, though. As it stands they seem to be one model duplicated all over the scene, and for a portfolio piece you want to do a bit more work than that. Plus they have some odd connections with the ground in places (one of the trees in the middle back especially seems to have a black ring around its connection point).
@echoperson I agree with the previous comment on the trees but they don't seem to me like the focus of the composition, I'd worry about the things you want to be the focal point for now.
IMHO I'd work on a ground texture to break up the uniformity on the green terrain, something brown or biege like an earth texture you can use on the pathway in front of the house, something else to paint on top of the small hill on the left, I don't know. Also maybe paint the door red or some other contrasting color so it doesn't blend into the browns of the wood and the stone? Either way, it looks promising, I like the style and the composition a lot!
First off, nice stuff people! :P This is a model I wrapped up the other day, It's supposed to be a M136AT4 FPS-style. It's on 4225 tris and yep I throwed in a Call of Duty hand in the FPS-testing-shot, made it look a little bit more in-game-ish than a front grip hanging in the air. Cheers!
Egyptian-style sci-fi environment, with snow! Really looking forward to playing with UDK's advanced vertex blending.
This is just a very quick blockout/paintover.

At least it's a start
She is supposed to look a bit gray-ish, but hope fully she will turn out more live looking then this :P
Looking pretty sweet man, think I saw this a couple of pages back, It's a 3D model paint over correct? anyhow, nice piece.
Here's something I bring to the table:
Based on a revolver concept by Timur Mutsaev
Some details missing.

Just for fun and practice. Simple katana like sword.
nice font work too!
This has gotta keep being quoted, because of how much it rocks.

Actually its a SCI-FI INSTANT CHILL/STORAGE/RECYCLE&COMPACT BEER COOLER.
My idea is that you can use the top hole to instantly chill a beer or to store a beer and keep it chilled inside.
The bottom hole will be used to recycle and compact your beer, whether its glass or metal.
On the right side is where the you pick up beer that you stored or just chilled.
High poly is done, moving on to the rest of the steps to finisih it now.
that render sure is fancy. Care to eloborate a little bit about how you did it?
ah i want one now since the snow melted around my place and i lost my Canadian beer fridge.
