Ok guys here is a quick update, still a bit aways to go to get this thing ready for graduation. I had to bust out this pocket area in a week essentially. Needs tons of love on the chair and couch. Deff a WIP

Crit it as you will!
Damn, I'm modeling VW Beetle aswell, haha
Liking it so far, decals/stickers on that beetle are pretty nice. Couch texture definitely need some more love.
Some textures seems to be a little bit too low res, is that on purpose?

Finally started realizing one of my ideas into 3d-space, not sure about the textures yet, maybe I will add directional lightning into my textures or maybe I will just add normal and perhaps a specular map.
did two more animations on my lara character.. did the roll kinda one yesterday and the jump today.. also have the old cartwheel with a little improvement on the arms at the end..
the secondary motion is fairly lazy on all of them, but beliveable enough I figure :poly142:
thinking of adding these animations to my upcoming reel..
thinking of presenting them this way as well (but not as persistently as here..), a side by side with some perspective shots and one with a camera shot..
the video is 4:46.. yeah I know, awfully long and it hurts to sit still for more than 10seconds. but hopefully people with at least a BIT of interest in animation will find it entertaining to see me step through keyframes rather than just play a loop I know I'd love to see animations presented that way!:poly136:
new renders of the SSS with diff hdri's, going to lower the eyebrows and add lashes. Still looks really cg though, because of the eyes? I can't figure it out...
Nice model, took the liberty to adjust some colours/lighting and alter some features. This may be too extremely feminine if she's the army type?
I am learning Maya 2011 and after 3 weeks I made this.
The book, Introducing Maya 2011, pretty much babied me through it. I just need to finish adding the bolts and screws to the panels and its done. I can't wait to post cool stuff like all you guys do
@MikeB - Love the texture! Maybe make those plastic covers just a bit more transparent and either punch up the paint's spec or give it a slight reflection. @POFFINGTON - great scene you have there. It's coming along nicely!
A statue prop I worked on for a level I'm doing. I still need to fix some issues up and do a cleaner/better render, but here it is:
Not much, but;
Can't say I am 100% satisfied with the textures, it's as if there are 3 styles going on in this item. The knobby parts of the hilt are supposed to look like some kitchen knives I have seen, they simply have 'pores' in the metal to add some grip.

I just started to work on my first realistic weapon. It's an Mk. 23 model (USP Socom).
I started working on the suppressor because it was the easiest part and seeing it done will make me keep working when I get stuck somewhere and feel like doing something else :P
Here's a pic of the suppressor and part of the main body.
The shader (Xoliul's shader) is making a couple parts look a bit weird so for the next screenshots I will play around with it so it looks better (the Fresnel Reflections looks a big ugly here).
have my first useable Kinect Mocap animations in the UDK:

Head and jaw have physics that i baked in Motion Builder and i have made some tweaks to the animations in 3Ds max.
I probably play the heavy walk animation when he starts walking and blend then over to the other animation.

Nice man! I love that lion and that front crest piece. Is this the low poly? Looks like a BPR render. Just curious.
@Paulsvoboda, damn thats one sexy asset. Can't wait were your going with that. Your scenes are very inspirational.
Little update on my scene. Got some awesome feedback from you all!
Up next is re-doing the red rooftops, I like the color but the actual mesh is lacking.
Also going to try and create a few more trims and vegetation this week. Wish I had more time ^^.
Any feedback on this is offcourse very welcome.
@ davison reminds me of a cheesy horror movie from the 70s it fits. I really hope someoen is perfecting a mocap kinect technique
Something like that is what i wanted with the animations! I think there is still a lot that can be improved with the whole kinect mocap and im sure it will in the future.
i was completly unhappy with my previous light for the scene, so i´ve scrapped it and this is design #2 so far
not happy with the ventilation slots on the side, paintovers welcome

scooby you are a fucking best, I love that
Quoting to bring to another page and to say that this is turning out beautifully. Great work, Sir!
Feedback is much appreciated.

Still heavy wip, going to work on doors and fenders next day
Crit it as you will!
also, whos art test?
Yep, I'm gonna clean that mesh later, when I got whole body done.
Nothing worth showing, but you can have a look, sure!
I hope it's not a secret or something, it's 2K Czech 3D Art test. I might share that test later in a appropriate topic, when I'm done.

might have a sdk up if its of any interest when this is all said and done, as I am somewhat happy with the model and the animations..:poly136:

Looks dope Andre, can't wait to see that thing textured and animated.
Only one thing bothers me here; some of these bolts are way too small and would probably bake like crap.
polygunz: Loving it. The ribbon is an awesome touch :poly142:
Andre, love that loader. Really nice!

ok so yeah medevil market stall, I think I'm getting better
the brief limit is 3000 tris.
it would be awesome if you can suggest me some ways to improve it.
(i've tried to keep it all in quads, hoping to play with it in zbrush)
the concept
lol
that's exactly what i did after posting those screen shots. i went in maya and checked her butt crack out.
I also softened the pubic bone line.
thank you
yep you would be correct sir!
no Beetle, that's old Fiat 500, bro
jramauri: It is indeed. Oil on canvas. Only about 8x10 inches, so that's why it's kind of in-your-face.
Just a basic barrel..
OR IS IT?!!

Been working on this slowly for a bit, trying to update my website.

Still messing with the mesh. It's my first try at hand painted textures, but it's been pretty fun!

Im working on a girl with cloth.
