hey thanks Mike and yeah I'm kinda stuck with Prnt Scrn at the moment because I dont know how to do it any other way, and yeah the tricount is actually 3,872 with all the instances haha the high poly is in the scene
You could use grabviewport script from the http://www.laurenscorijn.com/viewportshader .It allows you to take bigger print screens than you're maximum resolution,if I remember correctly.
this is my first attempt to create a male human character.
I wanted a thin max. 20 year old young man.
I am modelling in cinema4d.
After experimenting with lights and shaders i changed my scene and now i am working with the kind of lights you can see in these 2 quick renderings.
Simply because it looked nice and felt a lot better while working.
My issue.. if i turn the lights out (and theres only the editor light left) this guy looks soooooo thin and sick you can hardly look at him.
My question now, because i've seen a lot of characters looking kind of ugly without texturing (not that thin), but afterwards turn out to be really great is..
Was it wrong to model the way i did?
Will he look shitty in a game engine for example, where the light is not as in my scene?
Or does it really depend on my texturing afterwards?
Noticed the art without seeing the name, had to be bunnies,
Some fine work bro! She looks great from every angle, good move on posting that animation to do it justice. Love it! just love it man
Making a cartoon Jack Black, does it look anything like him yet? I will be painting some scruff on his face later but want him to look like him before I start painting. Sculpt is still very WIP but please crit.
First time I've ever tried sculpting a skull, and also first time I've ever sculpted something using a primitive (just created the sphere in mudbox and went to town). I know it's not perfect, and the cracks could use a lot more detail to them, but im very happy with the result
Got a bake done. It's sitting on more triangles that I'd like, but I'm having a hard time squeezing more out so I'm going to err on the side of detail.
The traffic light bake looks nice but I think you are pushing that line between embellishing on what is technically reasonable vs making something that seems totally inefficient.
Maybe I just don't understand how its intended to be seen?

awesome work, technically brilliant, but why so much detail? is the game so focused on traffic lights that you cant use something simpler? like some sort of game where you are a fly flyng around traffic lights?
Not true, just pick up the direct link from the link list, you can take it if you open the image, and then go to the other links.
Imageshack works perfectly fine for me.
The service is fine, but I think they are blocking certain providers or regions from viewing the images if you don't have an account with them. (I live in South Africa)
I could view any and all imageshack images last month, but mid month this month it changed, and all images I could see last month, this month all i get is that error image about unregistered domain. And the fact the error img is hosted on imageshack, leads me to believe it is imageshack doing the blocking and not something else.
Thanks guys. This isn't for a game as much as it is art for art's sake as well as an exercise in detail, but you guys are right about too much geometry so I'm squeezing it as hard as I can now. It was at 5229 tris before, but I just got it down to 3386. I still have some errors to clean up, but this is getting more into the neighborhood I like. Also, the edge loops around the middle are because the separate housings use the same texture.

Just finished my sentry for a french contest.

diffused, 1024 for body and 512 for hair, 2837 polys
Hot indeed. Can ya post some wires?

Fredrick Storm's material used for render.
i fap to wires. post them.
I like the texturing on that Red Ryder, islipaway
Here is some of my recent stuff, everything was made by me.
ErichWK: hahaha I may have to steal that one
suburbbum: Finally someone understands it's not weird to feel that way about a bee!
Rens: ahah thanks buddy!
here's a wire at the base pose, I tried to fit as much in here as I could haha so sorry the textures are pretty unreadable
working on a new scene. Probably going to start a thread in the next couple days.

What he said ^^
That is so amazing, it makes me want to believe in Jesus.
I too get the same, it's really annoying, would prefer if people use dropbox.
You basically have to register at imageshack and be logged in to view images... which i think is bull.
More progress. Should be starting on the low tomorrow after doing one last look over.
i have an imageshack account but i never log in, yet ive never seen that image before? anyone else having this problem?
