An assignment at school, making a FPS weapon with 3000 tris. I'm happy with the result, although there's always room for improvement. I did what I could with the one week we had.
Some anatomy study I did this evening. I know the pose is kind of silly, but I just wanted to have the guy leaving his weight in one leg and a half bended arm. I still want to define better some parts of it and clean it... Im thinking that maybe the pelvis should protrude a bit on the bac between the back muscles and the gluteus right now i've noticed i leaved a big flat gap there
I know you didn't ask for crits but I can't help myself - it really lacks specular mate, put some on the metal and orange part ...
Also the red tear on the middle right makes no sense I'd change it to bright grey ..
It's been forever since I've actually posted anything. I've been pretty busy with my own project. It's a Scrabble meets RPG. Using some placeholder portrait images from Diablo 3 just to test layout.
because i did not start this project from whiteboxing...i'm paying for my dire sins....i'm still enjoying this project tho...although i need to be sacrificed for all the crimes i've committed on my steps :S
1st stage of blocking out (need to add a couple more main parts)
Just handed in my work for my 3rd year university module.
I took this character from its concept stage to high poly and then game stage.
Well pleased with the results:

Chai I am always looking for crit and improvement Ye I still feel a bit week on specular maps and that's the area I am working on improving. Will bump up the specularity quite a bit and change that middle scar. Thanks for the crit
could you imagine porting the whole thing to WebGL? Java is a massive slow-down for me It looks like a set of really cool features already though - Good work!
after a 3d hiatus for a while I'm finally working on a project I orignally started for the Comicon challenge over at Gameartisans but never finished.
Currently just sketching in some folds before moving to the bodyarmor to model all the straps and details, head is not finished yet still has some tubes that need to be done aswell as a full-detail pass
Took the concepting to dynamesh to block it out and adjust proportions. Still got to sort out design for the chitin plates on the back, but they'll be seperate objects for the sculpt anyway.
Off on holiday tomorrow though so won't be able to continue for a couple of weeks
ruz: that's pretty clean work
seforin: great edges on those stairs, maybe the bricks could use a little more colorvariation or something to break it up a bit.
Mgrecke: very nice style, i really like the expressions ^^

It would be cool if there were some large light grey surfaces in the scene to pick up the warm bounce light off of all the red architecture.

I wanted to add some text with a quote in the bg, didnt know what to write though.
Any tips?
