Leto Atreides II? Nice stuff
Too much brown/orange though. Perhaps you could do that magic spell thing in a more cold color like blue-purple or something?
This has been a pretty amazing week of WAYWO O_O I just wanted to pretty much tell everyone that their work is amazing (... evverrryyyy onnnneeeee *shifty eyes*)
Here's what I've been working on:
I need to finish up my sculpting before me move apartments on the 5th D:I think this is about 95% done in terms of digital sculpting.
I think the head and neck could stand some work, and a final polish pass on the robes which look a bit lumpy.
Edit: oh and if anyone has an quick tips on how I could polish up his lump-o-robe, by all means hit me up in a PM. I think what I'm going to end up doing is masking off folds and messing around with smooth and the polish brushes a bit.
There's a cool clay polish button in r4 I might mess around with as well.
Here is what I'm doing so far, it's pretty much a modular kit that allows me to create lots of different variations of houses. Right now it's the same house everywhere mainly because I'm trying to finalize textures and get a feel for the colors and shapes. Eventually it'll evolve into different modular pieces that allows me to puzzle together lots of different shaped buildings.
Obviously it has lots of things that are not fixed yet.

Looks really nice
What engine are you using?
One thing I can point out is that I think the wood wear is to light on the edges.

Hey Yeah it's UDK. Simple setup, exported from 3ds Max, some stuff don't have a spec map and it doesn't have a proper lightmap UV-atlas generated either. Yeah you're probably right, I'll dial down the wear a bit, thanks!
@lachtan....man what i'll do JUST to get a clean bake for a cylindrical object...although i'm learning ALOT of stuff thx to EQ's epic technical thread tho...still trying to get it just right for meh
I've been working on a script for Photoshop that gives you an edgeless canvas,
so what you paint over an edge goes onto the other side, to help with tiling textures,
not sure if people would need something like this tho.
@felipefrango I placed those by hand, tried a few different methods but I couldn't get anything looking like what I wanted. So it was a pretty time consuming process :P took me several hours to do that much. Thought about doing a retopo of the arm and doing each link a face and then extruding and rotating but the test didnt turn out too well, so uneven when I did the size of each face by approximation. So I just duplicated and moved those suckers :P
@lloyd, that is EPIC, I've been wishing for something like this in Photoshop since forever! Can you draw and see it tile in real time?
@dannedadon, wow, that must have taken forever but honestly, it looks really good, it has some irregularities that make it look real and not procedural. Hope it bakes well!
Man, every time I get on here its just a lot of awesome work this thread is a great source of motivation, keep it up everyone:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
Here is a fun little project I decided to work on the past couple of days
Q-Bee based off a Raox concept
Finally calling him done, There is more I would change on him but I am just too sick of looking at him so I decided to call it quites. I made him Russian, no reason why just plucked it from the air.
(I hope the Russian means what I wanted it to mean)

any suggestions you have on how to capture that resolution with good frame rate please let me know.
I want to show a couple of my works:
OK. Here is my progress. Low poly version with ~10k triangles.
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
UDK allows to render frame by frame:

You'd have to set up Cameras and Lighting before hand though, since this is obviously for Gamemode.
I'd be interested to see how your model looks in CryEngine just for comparisons sake. Your UDK shaders are pretty much perfect already on this

@lloyd YES PLEASE!
@dummyyou Really liking the scene. Be nice to work on the camera angle some. Try reading http://www.cgsociety.org/index.php/CGSFeatures/CGSFeatureSpecial/phil_straub_composition_tutorial
@Screwonhed thanks for posting the flat. Kick ass job! You did a great job at making the material texture work actually fee like different materials.
@NightWong really like texture work. Your color scheme is nice. Be cool if you pushed the depth on the wood a bit more.
About to call this done. 100% sculpted in ZBrush. Trying to combo hand painted style with sculpted high poly. Rendered in Marmoset (forgot the logo).

WIP
I decided to start working on a spyglass...hoping to make this as detailed as as clean-baked as possible WITHOUT photoshop touch-ups
my high-poly atm (light grey piece is still being worked on...trying to make a leatherish tip at the extrusion)
Are you nuts? We must haz! GIEF!
