Here is a new sculpt using the new dynamesh feature in the new zbrush R2.
Not a very good render but i just wanted to get it out to there.
Hope you like it
Having a bit of "vacation" and going through old stuff aswell, i found this fixed it up a bit and threw it into UDK, dont judge too harshly, its more than three years old! xD
Great stuff guys. Keep posting. Here is sculptris sculpt based on design of J. Marantz:
That looks great! Have you used Sculptrisยด paint feature for this pic? How did you get to your final render, if you dont mind me asking.
And Snefer, I got no judgement except praise man, I think this piece looks killer!
EDIT: I added a "t" on the "Scultrisยด PAIN feature". That would be a weird feature to have. I wonder what it would do? Induce pain if your sculpt is bad?
Currently I'm working on a back alley in Brooklyn for a level class. Thought I'd get it out there and see what a fresh pair of eyes can advise
Still pretty slow at posting things online, forgive the awkwardness.
the bricks are way too big, especially length-wise. I think the bags could use some more irregularity to their shape, but the normal map is looking nice
the paving slabs need more variation in the textures, I think some cracks and dirt and grime would sort it out, you could try vertex painting this. Also the transition between road and paving is stark, the road seems to have tighter high frequency detail and a significantly darker colour.
Hey guys! Work has been so busy I haven't had time to post anything in a while. Finally got some time to sketch some ideas I had up in zbrush. This is a new character I'm working on. But just a quick study non the less.
Here is the concept I did in case anyone is interested.
NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTS !!11
dude you just made my day, such a strong cyberpunk style on that one, went straight to my inspiration dir :P
As for the sculpt, mate you're a great artist, but my modest advice is to take a step back from the details and concentrate on the proportions more.
Armor/clothing follows the contour of the body so it can benefit from it.
Also once you get to the boots, I recommend using zbrush grid, to line up the feet better. (I can see she'll be wearing high heels)
Anyway good stuff so far, looking forward to see progress on that one.
Hey folks! it's been a very long time since I posted anything to polycount.
I decided to speed sculpt my interpretation of a minecraft creeper the other day. May come back to it and add more detail/texture etc. (I did see a minecraft creeper somewhere near the top of this thread actually...mine is a tad less creepy I think)

Hey Chai glad you like the concept man!
Good advice too man and I totally agree. After Bigsog mentioned the proportions earlier I went back and did some adjustments. I found the chest was too manly the hips needed to be adjusted as well and finally I slimmed out the arms a bit and worked on making the bony landmarks more prominent.
anyways, here are the results of that adjustment. I'll be raising the breasts next to fit into the chest piece.
Some great work in this thread as usual. Here is the character I worked on for the mass effect contest this summer. I never made the deadline for the contest but I plan on finishing it anyway;
ok so I remembered I modeled and textured a model based on a concept by Nick Carver, but the texture was shit so i'm going at it again. All diffuse shown in marmo
So, if anyone remembers my Aztec Lizard Warrior I posted almost a year ago, through several transfers and system wipes, that seems to be the ONLY thing that I created a folder for and never dragged the files into . I suppose it could have been worse; could have accidentally deleted my entire portfolio, but from the ashes rises the phoenix
Since I've been messing around with a hand painted style, figured I'd give him a go . This piece is completely remodeled and started with a brand new texture too; how's it looking? I PROMISE I'm finishing it this time. I'm doing away with the whole "lets make something cool and never finish it" shit
Concept if you wanted to see
And here is a link to the old one. I specifically didn't just post the image because looking back on it now I think it looks like poop and is super busy http://threenineart.com/WIP/AZL_1.jpg

Makes me think of Maleficent.

I am using her as reference. Not so much for the face but the overall feel.

Here's the anatomy sculpt, planning to start working on the armor today.

I like your take on the horns
been lurking for long time at this great board!
I know there are lots of problems, especially on his legs!
you're very inspiring!

You owe me new pants!
Jenn0_Bing Cool! Kinda reminds of Plants vs Zombies.
crrutch: Ace! Do more of those!
Hey thanks a lot Bigsog. I went in and adjusted her rib cage which led into the arms. I'll post her again once I get her gear fitted.
Love the loose brushwork on this...thanks for sharing.
Here's a sculpt I did for the Blizzcon Charity Auction. This thing's going to be 3d printed and presented to the highest bidder:
You can check it out a turnaround movie of the bust on my blog.
Cheers,
Nick.
This is going to be so rocking. Who knows where the high bid is going to land... hopefully, if it's huge, they'll publicize it.
