Ok, changed my mind, I will play this. The real-money-AH seems really interesting since I usually enjoy playing with the markets in my previous mmo-type games, as boring as that sounds

Europe.
are you going to sell something for 45$ if its being sold for 60$ by others on AH?
I tried that in wow. I put my stuff for 300 gold while the AH price for it was 400. Turned out people who are selling it for 400 gold, would buy my stuff in less then a minute and sell it for 400...

That's why you sell it for 399 gold and people will still buy it and all you "lose" is 1 gold

Aaaand? That's how it happens in real-life too, big companies will come in, buy something at a discount rate and upscales it to premium rates.
Is it a dick move? Yes. Is it damaging to the consumer and environment economy? Maybe. Is it something that's so heinous as a crime that it should be kicked out? No.
Anyone preordered it from Amazon? I'm yet to have the money taken out of my account... is that standard practice? Heres hoping it arrives on Monday as my post is fucking terrible T_T

I originally had my order with amazon.co.uk, but they've been incredibly badof late with my pre-orders. Always arriving a day late so I've went with Shopto.net (Always reliable).
As for battle.net tag here is mine: DiSarray#2936
Please add me as I'll always be up for a bit of co-op.
So pissed I didnt pre-order a collectors edition before they sold out everywhere. I want my damn art book!! Will have to scavenge around best buys and gamestops and hope I can find one.

Try Future Shop. They usually have the collectors after its sold out from everywhere.
Infact that goes for pretty much every game. =\
I had to cancel my CE because I am getting a game for free anyways xD

I have a script running that attempts to one click buy the CE edition from Amazon.com every few seconds, if that does not work, I'll be hitting up multiple store hoping to snag one.
It takes you to a confirmation page after it buys one, so it wont stack. Also I don't believe amazon charges you right away for preorders. I'd be easy enough to cancel.
Or I could just wait a few years and try to resell them for a markup.
Holy shit I wish I had a script like that... well here's to hope that they get enough copies at the place where I put my name on the list as the tentht person that wants the collectors edition. =C

Same boat, but not worried, Amazon have yet to screw me over, but post doesn't arrive until noon for me
I would not pay more money for diablo 2, an artbook a ost, and a few merchandise. I prefer to save the money for more important things like a new graphic card like a gtx680.
I have too many collector editions, but i buy them because they give me ingame content i would never had with a standard edition. And the diablo collectors edtion it's not one of those collector's editions.
With Tera, guild wars, etc, paying for the collector edition you get ingame bonuses. I have the artbook of darksiders, a few ones from assassin's creed, and at the end, you see them and they are just more items eating dust on the shelves. But this is just my opinion.
for 41 dollars, i have pre-ordered the assasin's creed collector's edition... but 100? that's way too much money for a game!. In game.es we had the fear3 collector's edtion for less than 10 euro...
BTW, there are people already playing D3 starter edition .
~ 8in wide or wider skull with the Diablo 2 USB, worth ~$30 if you don't already have the game
208 page art book (art books cost like $40 these days)
Behind the scenes DVD/Bluray, I can't wait to watch the cut scenes on my 42in tv, I could make it work with the computer, but its a lot less work and is just nice to have. No info on the depth of the making of, worth $10+
Sound track would cost you $10 in a store, you could of course rip it for the game, not worth too much to me.
1 unique always on (if you want) in game item, 2 unique dyes.
WoW pet you could probably sell for crazy amounts in game, don't play wow
3 portraits and 1 decal in sc2, not really worth much even though I play still
Personally, if it was just the art book and it was on par with "The art of" video game art books, it'd be worth it to me.

I'm honestly surprised to see anyone who feels this way. I really hate when people who pay more get little bonuses in game. I feel like everyone should get the same game.
But bonuses outside of that are fantastic! And Blizzard always goes all out. Really, as a game artist I really appreciate seeing behind-the-scenes stuff like Art books and making of DVDs. Things like that really highlight what WE do for the rest of the gaming community to see.
I'll pay extra for an art book rather than ingame content all day long.
Yeah, I never bother with ingame content, but I love real world content like artbooks, statues etc. Hell, I would love to just get proper manuals again instead of a hotkey sheet and weapon description.
Wow, a dedicated bowl for videogame junk food. Props Wahl!
I've never played a Blizzard game in my life. Gonna have to buy the Diablo/Starcraft back catalogue one of these days to find out what all the fuss is about. Am I likely to enjoy them, or is a certain amount of nostalgia attached to these games at this point? Or would their gameplay still be considered good. How does Diablos gameplay work exactly? Is it a single dungeon you grind repeatedly, with a focus on levelling characters, or are there lots of levels?
Okay, I'm a bit worried, I'm watching a Chinese streamer and he keeps getting disconnected before he completes a dungeon so he has to restart over and over, it has happened 3 times so far >.>
OMG GROUNDBREAKING NEWS GAME DOES NOT RUN SMOOTHLY ON DAY ONE EVERYONE FREAK THE FUCK OUT
If you honestly think it's going to run smoothly come midnight tonight then you're delusional. Give it a few days, hopefully they'll work out kinks by the weekend.

Good luck Anthony! Amazon had a small batch in yesterday. Check cheapassgamer.com forums and see if any of those people found it any where.

Finally got it at 4am this morning, yay for no running around at midnight
I'm sure the servers will be collapsed the first days :S

I lost my copies of Diablo 2, those are still worth $30. Plus I love the making of dvds.

Too many studios just release a CE that is just a statue/figure plus a wimpy extras dvd, with one special in game item, normally for ~$20 extra.

They had 15 CEs and 15 people who put their name on it, so everyone got lucky as it seems! xD
Not it's just waiting for the launch.

Thats too much man.
I mean I am a huge fan of Diablo series as well but, wow. O.O
if anyone would like to add me on their list my battle tag is: Nitewalkr#1389
Also, do I have to download the global client or does the beta client updates itself to the global client?
