I use the TF logo because it's a great shape to start a flower besides the "loyalist" effect on it. If i had more time, i'd make the whole set (sentry/dispenser/teleport) based on market garden/farm stuff (plants, tools, insects, etc)
I still think your sentry looks too detailed, at least the texture.
Compare it to the texture on the regular sentry, your texture looks too realistic and too... gritty.

Man I hope you get this baby into the game, it's really great. I do wish you'd do more even after the contest is over to contribute, though.
Maybe put a reference in the gun to the Guard Dog update? Use one of the fake Achievement icons you designed for the Update and have it as a sticker or worn painted decal on the level 3 Lucy Charm sentry?
I think the texture's still too gritty and the colour too dark right now, not really TF2-y, but apart from that I think you're pretty much done!
You can tell if your colour is riht because the Red in TF2 is exactly the same as the Blue is when inverted.
I quite like the way it "Grows" though, as in, LV 1 is much smaller and weaker-looking than the sentry, whereas LV2 is much more imposing than it's mundane counterpart.
Think you could maybe make the rockets on LV3 a modified version of the hanger, tho. if only for the referance.

THanks for the tip! If you put some metal on it, it grows! Im working on texture too, but the animations is taking all my time XD It´s a really pain make upgrading animations and gibs..and...attacking..and...gahhh!!!:poly127:
Oh that reminds me, you may need custom metal gibs. Bits of the sentry to pick up for ammo/metal after it explodes, since the gibs of teleporters/sentrys/dispensers all look like parts of those machines.

Also people...i have a doubt...while upgrading, the textures..change. Like the tf2 orginal sentries whose have different textures for each level. So...what texture it use in the upgrade animation progress???

@Slowbrah - I will try to make a video. Unfortunally i cant make the sentry working in game. The targeting(rotating) and attack movements, i think Valve can solve it or someone here would like to help.
Dannnng. This is pretty badass, dude. I love the concept, and the visuals of it too- the models and textures are both very sexy. Cannot wait to see the animations for it, this is exciting stuff!
Hello, I'm Dr.Eggman, and I'm convert Lucy to formats of source engine (sdm+co, mdl+co, vtf+vmt etc) and made many animations (part of all to 1st and 2nd levels, all of 3rd level... except upgrade animation).
Oh yes...Dr. Eggman is my partner in the lucy project. Remember when i told you im working with a friend? Well..he's helping me to compile and convert the files and animations for this contest. Thanks Eggman, nice to see you here.

I like it. The gray lines around the rim look a little bit like flower petals but its subtle enough that the gun still looks like a killing machine
Here is Lucy, my tiny plant bloom in a violent flower. Lucy is now as powerfull as level 3!
I put the ordinary tf2 sentry to comp sizes (the texture on it is wierd because i dont know import very well )
Also..i increase the contrast and brightness to see better. In game all sentries are more dark.
The animations from lvl 1 and lvl2 is complete as the bluprints. When finish it, i will start the gibs..compile and close for the love of god! XD
