So does this implement the bed-spawn, or is that next version?
apparently the tech is in but they need to make it more robust... so it may be enabled in a mini update from what i could tell on twitter

* Implemented a new lighting engine with the help of MrMessiahs (can be turned off)
* Changed the options around, added a new Graphics options button
* Added beds. If all players in a map sleeps in a bed during night, the game immediately skips until morning
* Added three new half-size blocks
* Added Delay/Repeater redstone dust blocks
* Added whitelisting to the server. To use, enter whitelist <cmd> where cmd is on, off, add <player>, remove <player>, list or reload
* New save file format, old maps need to be converted (that might take a while..)
* Its now possible to have more than five save slots, and to rename saves
* Scrollbars in both the texture pack list, and in the map selection screen
* Replaced the Mojang splash image to reflect the new logo colors

Bad start for me.. Notch fixed the 'eternal flame' bug, which mean my fireplace burned through to the wood frame of my off-the-cliff-face house.. which burned down most of the house. Spent another 2+ ingame days rebuilding the place and the firepit, only to find that it didn't work anymore. Also, seems I can't make a bed....

Their productions are pretty cool, they did the Penny Arcade TV season 1 stuff and it was nice (well produced, nice music etc). I hope they get enough money for this project as well.
I've recorded a video with Fraps at 1 frames per second, loaded it up with VirtualDub, decimated frames by 20 from 316 frames, which left me 15 frames, I exported it as image sequence, in Photoshop I used Photomerge option to stitch the frames together, it's not full 360° degree view, just partial.
Edit: Oh and in Minecraft I turn off the HUD with F1, Turn on the mouse smoothing F8 and lower DPI on my mouse, so while I turn around it's almost perfectly horizontal.
I hope Eld updates his texture pack soon :poly142:
you can resize your minecraft window to any size you want, press f1 to hide hud, and press f2 to take screenshots. you can find them in your C:\Users\%YOU%\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\screenshots directory.

Could someone upload the whole 'resources' folder from .minecraft, I have no sound in-game
I tried removing whole .minecraft folder and re-download but it seems as it's not downloading all of the files needed and still no sound in-game. My forward thanks.
this fix does not work for me, but I've read on minecraft forums they accidentally removed the sounds from the client, they are going to re-record new sounds. I hope this is true.

The problem fixed itself somehow, I just played the game and sounds fixed.

Yeah ummmm, about those blob mobs. Ran into a group, seemed bugged out and kept following me around and were invincible. Disconnected and reconnected, was bugged. Only ran into them once though. 0-o
Yeah the slimes is back and while the small ones cant be killed (though lava seem to stop them), the big ones can still hurt you and you can hurt them (make them smaller).
