@downarmy: Seems to be a nice tank but from what I can see in these pictures there seems to be a few cracks on the body that look a but odd IMHO, as if you've used rock crack alphas on it. I may be wrong though, the small size of the shots might be deceiving my eyes, but it looks kinda weird to me. Nice model overall though, too bad you couldn't get shadows to work out. :T
BlackulaDZ - awesome!
DeathByChris - this is totally cewl. I only would have even out the texel resolution a bit
build - really nice, I like the face and the overall shapes
Ferg - nice !!
@evillair: Nice sculptures, they look really well crafted, congrats. I'm not a fan of that Flash though. IMHO he's too bulky (I've always pictured him as a rather slick superhero, since his superpower is speed, somewhat like Quicksilver), and that pose isn't helping him either. I don't see how the rock fits his character as well. Anyway, I hope I don't sound too harsh, it's not like it's not well done, but it looks like a bodybuilder in a Flash costume. :P
complete rear sight assembly. overkill on the level of detail but I'm still really enjoying myself, figuring out how to sub-d whatever i'm coming across. Very comfortable now with modeling the various kinds of manufacturing that is all over the AK--bends and milling.
I'm quite happy with it, the whole futuristic city route is something I have never taken before and so it is all new to me, comments and crits more than welcome

cool work guys
fat_cap - couple of pages back, great model! i agree on the head size comments
very nice progress Gauss, good to see 3d stuff from you. I think some of the edges along the top of the sight assembly are getting a bit pinched, maybe relax those slightly?

You're right on all counts, the Flash thing was more an after thought. I decided to leave it since I got bored with it in the end
It was my first try at posing also hence it's not a strong pose. Thanks for the comments.
@deathbychris I love the color pallet for that alien guy @evillair nice sculpts man, those hellraiser ones are spot on, but the giger one looks kinda mushy... @Pior the image actually saved as "210_realsize"
thanks for the positive feedback on this , it shall have its own thread soon.
Racer i don't know if you saw but i will be donating some cashola once i finish up this crazy emotional rollercoaster. the most important part of your tutorial? the part where i learned to believe in myself.
Blackula: absolutely stoked about where that is going, really one of the most fun characters I've seen in a while.
RAWTalent: lens flares are coming back in a big way.
@KITE, ICESPADE, JFletcher, gauss, Lonewolf, felipefrango, crazyfool, Disco Stu, ScoobyDoofus, benclark Thanks for the feedback guys. Looking at it now I totally agree about the huuuuge head size comments - I was lost in the microcosmic details of texturing world and needed some fresh eyes on it. It shall be fixed pronto!
There's some great work on these last few pages - lots of pics for my inspiration folder!
Rollin: haven't seen your work in a while but I've got to say you seem to have made real strides, this is looking good. If you maintain this level of quality through the finish it'll be some very high profile FO3 content, nice work.
There's been so much awesome stuff since my last post. The amount of talent displayed here is insane. Great work everyone.
It's been a while, still poking at this thing. Really looking forward to getting it finished so I can move on to other stuff. It's still 3.8k tris, and is using one 2048 normal map at the moment. It loosley follows the build of an electric guitar and a rifle, nothing true to life or anything.
I was hoping someone could suggest a clever way to make the strings, I had flat planes in place for a while, not sure if I want to throw them back in or not.

How about just using a 3 or 4 sided cylinder?
3 sides, 5 strings would cost you 30 polies, which is negligible with your current polycount of 3.5k.
left concept, ignore the horns. Not trying to go for 100% accuracy to concept, but using it as a good basis
Also using different proportions as opposed to concept
After seeing Neox's work on the red haired chick, I decided to go back and finish up my spy chick because he was doing a lot of things I wanted to accomplish with the style. This is all very WIP, so imagine she's wearing a catsuit or something.

Baww, tried a bit of painting again. Need to study hands a lot more..
Have to say, Marmo engine handles cartoony stuff really well, probably one of the best I've seen imo.
cool design BlackulaDZ
heres where Im at on my Frankensteins monster for GA, Still gotta work into the hands and pretty much everything else actually
ivars: great anatomy.. but the back of his upper arm looks bit wrong to me (triceps) -> look
something I'm working on now and then.. but in fact I should do other stuff 0.0
it will be a custom model for fallout 3
so I have to stick to the fo3 rig
as for the designs i like 2 and 4
(still heavy wip)
@rollin I like those leg designs, they look functional
@crazyfool looking very nice, so fleshy

need speed!
Moof: that's awesome! He's looking really rubbery though. Perhaps making the specular more furry would be good?
Blackula: Wow, great silhouette!

@ Proxzee - Nice diffuse, what did you use to get em?
Thought I'd try my hand at a pokemon.
Very WIP,Charmeleon.
Dreamnt: Awesome! love it the neck skin is excellent. I think the legs need to be a bit more beefy, a little more jaw definition could be nice too.
Character for an RPG I'm starting up
left concept, ignore the horns. Not trying to go for 100% accuracy to concept, but using it as a good basis

hahah, probably one of my favorite ep's of all time, doom was epic.
i think it would be pretty awesome to replicate their cover in 3d, i say you finish it!
