WIP, going for a classic Doom shotgun look, hehe. Just a little change from my environment. It's hard to find close up refs for some things, so anyone who knows guns feel free to crit
I used to have a different kind of cap where the front was thinner than the back. Then I realized that that looked too baby-like, and thus was too unfitting, given that this is supposed to be a high-schooler. (I actually have several versions of the head laying around)

Well, it's not really that high poly. It's jut a result of the subsurf modifier I'm using. It helps me better see if, for example, any part has too much of a "molded" look
Looks really good but some of that grunge work looks a little stamped on and like its not localized to any structure/form of the weapon. I also think the lighter tones on top of the plastic on the front stand out a little too much and I'm not sure what they describe.
I'm currently making some version of a colt 1911. Been having some problems with pinching in some parts of the model probably due to lack of geo.
Should have worked with more polys to begin with, but since I am afraid of geo, I just have to deal with it B-)
Some more stuff that needs to be done before I'll start with the lowpoly(it will be a 1st person weapon. Need to start fixing hard edges here and there. So this is mixed both with and without control-edges.
rooster - love the flow and attitude of that mech... only crit would be the thighs, they're not nearly as defined as the rest of the body, look kinda mushy. Looks wicked anyway.
lonewolf - gun turned out great dude, nice work
seforin - lookin good man, he needs more creases on his face though. Too baby-faced to look angry right now.
4 hour head study... note to self: don't start zbrush projects at midnight
here's the ref... I realize there are a lot of differences between this and my sculpt but... it's fckin 4am dude
nice design Lonewolf.perhaps the texturung could be pushed a little though
nice study ferg
premium - the sculpt looks a bit unfinished as if you were in a hurry to get to the
baking stage
I think I'm pretty much calling this one done. Might tweak something here or there. Text is just filler/placeholder, hoping to have the design sold sometime soon.
Thegodzero, SyedS, chadabees: Thank you. I'm glad you like it. And thanks for the tip, SyedS, I pushed the skin texture further and added some tigerish stripes to the back of her head. I'll post some screens when I have the time. Meanwhile here is another character I'm working on;
It's still a WIP, there are still more work to do on the textures.
By the way, keep up the great work, guys. I love visiting this thread.

I plan on doing a composite test with this guy, and probably will do a series of the megaman 2 robot masters in this style.

Oh, didn't realize there was such a restriction. It looks as good as it can get though, congratulations.
Also, damn Justin, that is one awesome texture.
