I really need a shield on it. I want to put a control panel in the center. I also want to put some clasping arms and some other stuff coming off the sides.
Thanks for the link. I was actually able to get my hands on two of their DVD classes recently.
Being self taught; i really need to take advantage of all the videos and books ive obtained over the past two years. They could really improve the quality of my work.
I might check out DTs stuff on drawing. I should probably just watch the other stuff i already have though.
I really need to learn how to draw better; so i can make concepts of my models instead of diving right in.
It is fun pulling shit out of thin air, but i really need to plan things out.
Got about an hour into Carl from ATHF. I just had to mesh him out real quick, I'm going to go back and put in the rest of the important proportions and shapes. Then the minor details.
I'm getting these onto the pc with a camera so sorry for the low quality. The coloring on the ones above is done on the pc.
I drew some of the stuff on this one last night, and some this morning and afternoon. I'm just randomly drawing this stuff. Not really thinking about it, just making lines and turning it into something.
My 3d has been lacking lately. I need to get back into it. I've been going back and looking at my old work and thinking about a lot of things.
I've also been doing this 2d work so i can draw my models before i make them. I can get a nice design down a lot easier then meshing it out with polygons.
This is some random sketching from the night before last:
Gathered some of my people up in one of my UE3 environments.
I think it'd make it more natural like it'd appear in the real world, but it's not supposed to be on earth; so i can excuse the over-saturation... i think it contrasts the grass well.
I made these trees yesterday. Then i put together this UDK environment today. Total it's about 2 hours and 30 mins of work. I want to put in some rocks and various plants.
I made this door this morning. It was just a little sculpting practice.
I modeled this building today. It needs some things worked on; especially the roof. I'm not using a concept or anything as usual, but i'm liking how it looks so far. I haven't done any urban stuff.

This is a smoothed version. It took about an hour to make.
No concept. Just out of my head.
I'm going to do some more to it. I want to put a shield on the front.

I want to scult it, then retopo.

Just some random sketch. I drew some lines and turned it into something.
Some random weapons.
Some random practice.
And some more random practice.
I made these trees real quick today and put them into Unity. They look like shit.

No, marlfox! It's a tornado! :P It's actually dynamic. I have it spinning and everything!
I'll get an animated shot of it real soon
This is that same level, in a different area. I'm going to do another forest real soon.
I'm going to sculpt and retopo it.

Helmets messy; it looks like theres some monster head in it, but thats actually part of the helmet. The eye holes currently look like eye sockets.
Edit: didn't notice you posted, marlfox, sorry; i do agree with that. i'll beef em up a little. Especially the hands.

A brick material.
This is another character i started. Very similar to the last. I'm about an hour into it.
Heres an update on the bottom creature:
