Greetings! Makkon directed me to find help for my modeling skills. I'm working on a video game with him and I have learned a lot from this site already. Excited to learn more!
Hello Polycount. I have been looking at Polycount for quite sometime now and decided that since I am roughly half a year away from graduating college with my BA, that I should make an account to help further my skills.
Hello one and all, I'm Vasco, currently one of those graduates trying to break into the industry as a 3D Modeller.
Anyway, I've been on Polycount before, whenever I needed help with something I would search google, polycount was the answer sometimes. So I've finally signed up as a member and hope to show my work to you all, maybe get critiques or advice (don't get any on me blog hehe) and generally get to know all of ya.
Hello, I'm posting this here for activation. Found tons of useful info and fantastic community here, hope someday I'll have enough skills to contibute.
Hello Polycount...Family? My name is Johnny, I am an aspiring 3d artist that has been dabbling around for far too long and am ready to dive in. I look forward to learning, sharing & networking as much as possible with you. I have a good feeling after reading the above that there are not too many "dicks" here O.o
Hello polycount, I'm a long time sporadic visitor (from the Quake era), but just today I made this account. Nice to see Polycount still alive and kicking!
Hey everyone I'm glad I have been able to become part of the polycount forums. I used to have an old account that pertained to outdated sites and work, but alas! I am here with new content and will be posting soon.
In the meantime you can take a look at my portfolio of some of my student work and stuff that will be upcoming from my nwest job at WB Games Turbine. My name is Eric by the way. Thanks everyone!

I'm a game art and design student currently working on a few projects of my own. At present, I'm not looking for manpower, but that may change later on. I'm looking for a good community that can help me become better as a game artist. I chose to study the art aspect of game design even though I'm not particularly good at it because I can easily pick up a book and learn coding, but the art has always escaped me. When I decided I would design video games, I decided I would learn all I can about the process and not just focus on one aspect. I read a book about designing games and it stated something to the point of "to understand fully the design of a good game, you must understand at least in part all of its components." Therefore, that is my goal. I believe I've come a long way from what I was, but I haven't come far enough in my opinion. I also prefer the art aspect because I can actually see it coming along in real time. Programming takes a while before you can see the process and can be daunting to someone like me with a low attention span. Anyway, I hope that I can offer just as much help as I gain here.

In the meantime I'd like to team up with any inexperienced artists looking to break into the industry.
