Starting on the last day is probably intensely foolish of me, and may even be a violation of the rules, but I've sort of been living in a cave lately and I just found out this is going on. It looks like fun and I've got no other plans for the day, so I'll take a shot at finishing it by midnight. You only live once, right? So here's what I've done so far.
Kite: You rock
Great work Vidar, though I would have like another angle, much goodness is missed. The face texture looks sweet, looks like som SSS-efect going on there.
Yeah, submitted it now. Phuah. Mini indeed. Now I'm tired. Haha
Mynki: That is such an odd yet awesome design. The materials feel great, even those gorgeous nipples, haha. One of my favorite designs of all the generals.
MrKite: Aren't you in the wrong classroom? I guess I'll look past that and say this a fantastic character. I like the themed chest piece, and the netting is a nice touch. Great final submission sheet, it's very well lit.
Vidar: Sweet design..
I think I'm allowed to be complimentary, until the real battle begins at least. I'm saving up so much vulgar and explicits until then. ;]
Shit I should have checked this thread earlier.... I didnt know we were allowed to use post process effects(bloom, depth of field etc)? Oh well I submitted already and present you all the terrible general STRONT of the Netherlands :
GLad its over, was some damn good practise and preparation for the war!
Snefer: Yeah, I wish I had done another angle as well.. but I left the model at work after I uploaded that pic, so it's going to have to be my final. That's what I get for stressing this to the finish I guess.
I used a second BRDF map in the shader to the SSS-effect, works quite nice in the viewport but came out a bit strong in the final image. I'll upload some other views here tomorrow, so that one can get a better view of the finished thing.
Skiffy: I expect some kickass rendering now, your general really deserves it!
Here's mine, learned tonnes from doing this in the past 9 days and it was enjoyable too. Loved watching other guys work develop and raise standards. Kite and Snefer's work are my favourites from what I've seen so far.
I'm done with this one now. Kinda bitterly disappointed with how it turned out but that's what happens when I try to do it in 5 days instead of 9 - *facepalm*
Here's to hoping my actual domwar entry turns out a load better xD
wow I didn't have much time so I didn't get to clean the terrible texture at all and rushed so hard that I didn't notice my thermometer was floating off in the middle of nowhere
but oh well, it's just for the lulz anyway
Skiffy: nice model, good upgrade from your last submit. It could be nice to see your wireframe to see how and where is the 500tris that making your volumes impressive !:)
Cody: Wow, like your skin bumpy details, eyes and mouth are my favorite details.
Thought I would share a few different angles, textures and a shaded wire with you all. Probably should have used this for the final image but ran out of time, don't think I can change it now..?
Anyway a little shout out for my buddies Irreal and Cmac, good work guys hope i get more votes than you
Nice one Empty, I was a bit skeptical at first that it might be too busy with the initial sculpt, but you really pulled it all together nicely with the textures. Really well done, and I see Cody approves, ha ha.
@DemonPrincess: I agree that there's a hugh improvement in the diffuse map with those new details. I like the background in your render aswell. Did you use cgtextures.com?
@Skiffy: Congrats, you made it! I made a little piece of poetry just for fun.

General Redtooth is one tough guy too!
If only we could make them fight just for fun~
This shot will have to do, didn't have the time left to set up anything fancy so I used Brice's GenericBRDF-shader for maya instead.

Congratulation to all who finished! Some great stuff was posted.
I ended up changing the colours a bit 20 times before posting, and I'm still not quite so satisfied with it, but still happy I finished on time.
Here's some more views of my model, sadly some stuff didnt show up to well in my final submission.
I entered this too late to finish in time, I pretty happy concidering I started late Friday evening.
