Some lamps I'm finishing up for Doom 3: Phobos (was asked to help them out with modeling, defiantly good practice... still need to get that scene done).
Messing around with the shader as well, fresnel... mmmm!
renderhjs: great idea for a script! might be cool as well to just do it on the whole scene if nothing is selected, and maybe put all the "found" instances into a new layer called "instance_master" or something for easy organisation?
neox: great texturing, i love the colours and style of that
kio: nice barrels, but maybe need a bit more hue/colour variation here and there? or still WIP?

Tried to do a quick speed assessment based from a WH40K minature model. I had to add lots of extra geometry and make some floating to get a mediocre bake out of it.
I was trying to not sound like a douche in my post. I was making the lamp for the mod afterall so I'm not really concerned that it ended up serving its purpose =b. The selfish starving artist in me just wanted to see my name somewhere in the vicinity of it lol. Anyway, all is right with the world. no biggie.
Heres sometihng wip for my new portfolio i'm working on, not 100% in which direction i'm going to take it yet. Currently working on the cyberish bits. Eyes are placeholders at the moment.

btw. I downloaded a trial of 3dcoat and did the topology with it!! Its kick ass! I tried to paint some aswell, but I didnt find any settings for the lights so I gave up after 10 minutes. Ill give it another go later.

Worked on pretty much everything. Seems like i have everything in zbrush now....if you could suggest adding something else....like accessories and shit to make her look cooler,i would be obliged

awesome stuff! cool mechanical design reminds me of Robb entry for DW4 . are you using Crazy Butcher's shader? i don't really see any lookup shading, looks like a regular phong to me you can probably get more out of the brdf on metal paint there and there (again robb's great for that, even if yours shouldn't be pink ^^)

I was planning on just whipping out something a lot rougher than this for reference on a new model, but couldn't resist taking it a little further.
Was working on this for the past two weeks. For a competition over on "Gheyartisans". I worked on it for 15 hours yesterday and as a result ended up with sloppy presentation. Alphas and spec maps didn't show up well. Going to pose it properly and throw it into marmo soon.

A bump offset on the inner parts of the lamp would be nice i think. Something to give it more depth.

Successful bake lol, had a couple of crashes but figured out more efficient ways to do things next time
i mean the wall itself looks good, but that one brick with the 2 dents in it can't hide even rotated 180 degrees...
