Art and Swizlle - Those are some sick sketches, really cool style for both. I checked your updated portfolio as well Art-Machine, and you have some CRAZY skills in the 2d department, love the colours.
Really cool shield St Joris, is it from anything (kinda looks like a Warhammer type style).
I call it... futuristic floor from the future, silly!
All I can say is I'm having a fricken blast with this scene. I'm probably doing a lot of horrible things wrong, but its been such a great learning experience so far, big thanks going to Racer (Evan) for his tuts!
Heh, I thought i could see some sargenty oranges and whatnot going on there, eitherway it came out fucking rad! I prefer some of the angles on the sketch as he has a more harder general look but its dope all the same!
Nick carver - looks great so far One thing I noticed is that the flesh folds lack a bit of volume as compared to the concept, but that is not a big deal really
Here's something I did last weekend. I got inspired when I watched "Lost". Its the same Apple II computer that they use to enter the code in the hatch.
Jackwhat, awesome! Something strikes me as really off about the area around the log's reflection though. Maybe the sharp transition between the ground and the water? it catches my eye immediately, otherwise fantastic.
Very sexy looking rifle Hellmark. I think you could push the diffuse and materials a bit more though. Some of the worn bluing looks a little generic. Almost every edge is worn. Some spots might see less wear and tear. Also, a little material separation would help out a lot. Take a look at the weapon work that is being done over at 3 Point Studios.
as suprore said, the reflections off the frsnel effect should mean that you can see a touch more of the underlying stones or colour of the water, unless its from direct reference, in which case i know nuting
A concept based of a friend of mine. Supposed to have a Ghost in a Shell theme. No textures, and is somewhat ready for the low polygon pass. Using some procedural textures atm. Kinda want to take it into Crytex engine.
hey maks, dont know if you're looking for critiques, but you should really look at your anatomy, some more. As it stands it looks like her ass is on backwards and her torso is really long
Here's a good ref for the 3/4 view - basically I think the main issue now is that he has a lot more volume to his cheeks and jaw around his mouth that you've been missing by following the front/side planes only. It's a common problem when just using front/side ref, you don't get a good idea of the volume of the face. Use more reference!

:poly122: youre right. its my first rig and i´d made alot of mistakes, i think thats the reason.

Here's something I did last night. I took a rough sculpt into photoshop and tried to paint it up in a John Singer Sargent oil paint type of a way:
It's loosely based on a civil war general named Benjamin Butler. Here's the original doodle and the rough sculpt:
Cheers, Nick.

Too hot to do something for long so I decided to sketch a little now and then.
