tell me why hair sculpting is so hard, please TELL ME
Because you are trying to sculpt every strand... Try being a bit more impressionistic with it. Large clumps rather than raking it. Check out some of the sculpts over on Zbrush Central and vids on youtube.
Atrain!
Nice! Really digging it. Though her butt is looking a bit saggy. Really dig the style though! Keep it coming.
can't consider this a model, but had some fun with zsketch the other night. I never really gave the process a fair swipe, and it has its' uses I guess. Still no way I'd go this route over a basemesh in a normal situation, but I'm glad this sort of technique is an option.
thanks man, I usually start with the mudbox basemesh, even though i'm using zbrush haha. But those last two sculpts are from a basemesh I made new a couple days ago
I'm a complete novice at zbrush so i'm gonna start doing at least a sculpt a day, mainly studies to try and improve before i start the full character im planning. Heres todays effort, around 30 mins. Still a bit 'squishy' :shifty:
haha nah overkill indeed, i'll probably update in the WAYWO thread
Ditto, retopo'd my sketch last night so hopefully I have something to show soon. But I gotta finish the sculpt of a Deadwood character I'm making first.

Todays sculpt, around 2h.
Loving Crazyfools Dark Prince so i used it as a reference.
Not sure if im stepping on any toes or doing something wrong by trying to copy someone elses design. Hope its ok as long as im not trying to take credit for the design.
