I was really inspired by the prawn video Tom Parker (crazyfool) posted on Vimeo. So, I took an old model I'd made in sculptris and went at it with the clay tubes brush. ~2 hrs. (Sculptris model I started with http://tinyurl.com/4u6fhc4)
@gwad: Hah, that dog is awesome, very solid shapes dude, I love it.
@crazyfool: Awesome sculpts, dude, truly inspirational (although slightly infuriating). What brush do you use to carve wrinkles and other tiny details?
@-Em'-: First thing that strikes me is the ear (not that I'm any better at it), it looks weird on the side view, like it spirals down the center. Gather more reference next time and try to get the basic shapes down, it's basically a "y" inside a "?". Also, breasts. Anyway, what are you trying to achieve, are you following any particular reference?
Anyway, posted these on the WAYWO thread but thought I might as well post it here cause I'm looking for some honest, brutal feedback. Really, anything goes, presentation, anatomy, design, whatever, I'd love to hear anything.

Nope, i'm not, i have trouble to follow references, atm I prefer sculpt without ref, maybe that's the problem.
I think I need to learn more about proportions.
Ears are always a pain to sculpt, when i'll come from work i'll give another try ^^

Well, if I had to guess I'd say that's the problem alright, you should always gather lots of reference. You don't have to perfectly match some particular piece of reference if you don't want to but it's nice to see what other people have done on the subject you're studying. For example, if you're doing a female elf gather lots of photos of women, elfs, fantasy stuff, jewelry, clothing, etc. All this input helps stir your own ideas and come up with something unique.
Cool concept man. I'd recommend breaking up the symmetry a little more, especially on the eyes, and tilting the head a little once you're pretty much done with it. IMHO "posing" it this little can add up a lot of life and personality to the piece.
Thanks for pointing that out felipe, is there a way to use the rotate tool on multiple subtools? For example like rotating the top of the head and eyes.
Sure, man, just install Transpose Master.
@filipefrango, not if you export the mesh out from zbrush, add the shit and re import it. which is completely stupid i know, but I did it, I just couldnt figure out after i brought an object in from apend how to scale / move that object seperatly from the main mesh, it wasn't working for me but it was probly me not knowing something
Hmm, I think I know what you mean. Well, you should load all the tools you want before appending stuff. For example, load your Rhino model, Tool>Import the horns and whatever else you want. Each mesh you import will turn into a new tool in the Tools palette. Then you select your Rhino tool, draw it on the canvas, enter edit mode. Then you click on append and select the other tools you imported earlier. If you modeled then relative to the Rhino model (and if I recall correctly their pivots are aligned) they should be scaled and positiond correctly. If not, just move and rotate as needed. To move, drag the line and use the middle circle thing on the line. To rotate draw a line and use one of the extremities (it will be pivoted on the opposite extreme).
dragon type creature done for the speed thread over at Ga inspired by the awesome hell creatures people have been pumping out...crazyfool, another tip of the hat:thumbup:... and by the epic skyrim trailer.

Wait, what exactly didn't you understand? I mean, don't you have to use append to bring in meshes from max anyway?
thanks guys, I got the timelapse uploaded now aswell

I'm working on woman head and topology, happy of the result : next step is to learn how to sculpt ears
I've done it with Sculptris, which I have started to use this week (and sculpt a month ago).
Turn around on youtube : [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBboOCmAFg0[/ame]
Sculptris after 50 minutes...
note to self, use reference next time.
