sexy sexchange video you have there i didnt know you were a doctor too
I noticed you worked with perspective off first was that intentional?
I find that sculpting to a level that looks good without perspective can
give amazing results when its turned on then
Straw sketch is really nice
beatkitano: Nice work! Doesnt really look like zoidberg but definitly like one of his
family members
mat: Neat sculpt very nice lips. The small eyes with those hughe cheeks look damm
scary. Maybe a tad larger eyes? I dunno i bet a face like this exists.
Hey, I just arrived in this forum and must say I totally love this thread. There is some awfully awesome stuff here. Totally inspired me to play around with a sphere and this is what I managed in like 30 mins...
PS: They called him names at school! Children can be mean.
of course i could have pushed it further to get a cliche overall soft woman, but that wasn't what i was aiming for, its not unusual that a woman has an edgy jaw, i just wanted to find the right balance, there are other parts that i definitely like less then the jaw ^^
should not let me drag away and concentrate on which gender i wanna do, guess next time i'll go with full head so i have a bit more space to work with hair and ears, but well it was relaxing anyways
Im working on the communication of a metal festival (we do a fully new identity; logo, website, etc.), here is a quickie based on an illustration I have made for this event
meh i was just too lazy to do it again and again i did it 3 times at some point it had to be enough i mean i had a video a few weeks ago with sculpting from a simple basemesh, thats not thaaaaaat different to a plane, in fact i guess its better becaue you can do ears xD
hmmmm who does he remind me of`? can't say but i somehow think i know that face
i'd personally try to balance out the hard and soft and detailled and stylized forms, right now its hard to see the direction you want to move in, you have some really hard and stylized shapes and then the rough contrast to the smooth but detailled surfaces. I'd say find golden ration between the too directions and let one be more prominent then the other, so that this piece has a certain direction, because to me right now it it feels a bit clueless.
talking about clueless, man i have to get back into anatomy again, haven't done that stuff for ages and not looking into books made end up in blind alleys (right word? i just get stuck and fiddle around trying to get the forms look somewhat cool as i don#t know how they really are) all the time, not to mention the proportion issues
great that zbrush doesn't create meshes with posable symmetry out of zspheres, started with zspheres 2 and of course that doesn't work, and the mesh was so scary i stood with the old zspheres and hey they are better then in 3.1, great surprise, but that i couldn't pose him more asymmetric was a bit dissappointing
ok and a vid, forget the zspheres2 part i guess i won't be using them, dunno in which case i could really use those meshes...

Great form on all of them.
Thanks for sharing the video. =]
Awesome stuff Neox
Any chance of showing us one from scratch?
real quick, no symmetry

going for a 256px hand painted texture & will update!
A quick 30min sculpt with some symmetry. Based on the Strogg from Quake (kind of )
Here's my zshit for the day
jaco, lovin that zshit!
Ive seen lots of sculpts of face parts around so I though id give it a go (5-10min each)
both of these are great
Had quite a bit of fun with that so did some noses, some are a little unpolished but i didnt want to spend more than 10-15min on each(with symetry):
realistic faces are such a pain for me right now, but Im getting closer,
I can feel it!
More mouse shit
sup: must be pretty zen, sculpting with a mouse.
