very impressive neox from a plane? and no symmetry?! wierd way to work i must say, i cant imagine how high you had to divide that looks wonderful tho, i suppose the lack of symmetry would lead to more natural results.
yeah crazy haha
no i started from a plane with loops to build a chin, and i thought make it without a symmetrical axis in the middle... welll 5 polies subdivided makes 10, damn there is the middle seam clever me, but i forced me to not use it to have a bit of a classical workflow http://www.polyphobia.de/public/advices/history.jpg
ay neox thats wicked
Great that you force yourself away from that goddam symmetry.
If only that wasnt invented the great sculpts would be even greater i guess.
Great result
Your Technique for creating wrinkles and folds for example(i end up looking at thousands of references, shooting pictures of cloth, but even if i get the flow right it ends with not looking right).
Another great thing to know would be how you achieve this "smooth" look on your models in ZBrush, i end up with many distorted places even if i use the smooth brush.
If you have time i would be thankful if you give me some tips (maybe through icq, bacause i would like to talk in german, i fully understand english though but it´s just easier you know :poly121:))
Btw. is there any option to change the Smooth Strength in zb 3.5, i can´t change the strength anymore and full strength is kinda annoying:(
edit ah didnt see 3.5 im sure its about the same tho
specter: there is absolutly an option to the smooth strength in Z. what i do is to lower the z intensity of the smooth brush then go into the brushes tab on the top toolbar, go to edit curves option and drop the right side to about 25% image:)
wtf... i am stupid -.-" i always changed to the Smooth Brush edited then and switched back to normal one.But now you can´t select the Smooth Brush directly only with Shift.
Thanks for the Help if i hold shift i can change it yay.
Edit: Is this Soft Smooth a Standard or your own Brush, i can´t find it?
srry specter meant no insult, i dont know you well so i assumed id go basic: soft smooth is the name i gave the custom smooth brush with the settings described. its saved so i can still use shift for regular smooth if nessecary
and a new speedie 40 minutes out of the second head i posted recently, captured the progress but to lazy to upload now
:edit: and another very quick one
random ugly people are great you can do almost anything
qbeat: dunno if you really captured the forms, but from my memory he is fatter and rounder overall, but maybe its just the perspective, but something seems off
neox - another 2 fantastic speedies, if i read that right and you recorded the process i will be anticipating getting to view the video
beatkitano - looks better second post round, but he appears too short, his torso could do with being a bit longer, did a quick edit to help explain, feel free to disregard http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/5721/beatchange.jpg

I should really work more on 3D and post here, but school and work keeps me busy, and Left 4 Dead, must not forget that.
