Kite--Looking so great!! I'm so impressed by how this is looking I can barely look away from it... The only thing, and I could be wrong about this, but I feel like something on the body needs to have a 'popping' effect, cause it all seems to be a little too the same at the moment. But I might be wrong about this, especially since it's not completed yet. But keep it up! Looking so good!
god bless kite. i recommend looking at this while sleep deprived, i bet it makes it soo much cooler. she is SO COOL, everything he does is SO COOL, it's silly.
cranking out high polys this week for a subsequent week of process
Public sculpture (Wolverhampton.) 3.43 million tris.
Not happy with the face/head of the putti, (faces are a weakness that I don't work on, given I rarely have to do them) but it took so long to get there I had to decide it was sucking enough time, and I'd fix it later via crazybump. its a small detail anyway.
progress progress. Starting to feel better about it. not perfect but certainly good for what I'm shooting for. So good to get back to doing this on a regular basis. Relearning things too.
Some texture work on the rhino. I'm getting bored with it, but I'll force me to finish this one, as I really need to improve my portfolio and a finished work or two wouldn't hurt...
It still lacks a lot of work, color variation, no specular map yet...
Tons of great work in here lately. I've not done 'owt for a while as I've been away for a few weeks. Here's a few quick sculpts (about 2 hours a piece) based off mugshots from a really cool book I picked up called Least Wanted. There's a fascinating array of weird and wonderful fizzogs in there:
great prop work snake85027 and ImSlightlyBored
really nice scene choco
cool head rota, maybe a bit heavy on the mark on his nose?
the mad artist -looks great!
vitor, looks cool man but i'd maybe take a step back and refine the legs more, they look a little awkward with that big body
thanks for the feedback guys! i'm noodling out a vehicle and some small props for them at the moment, maybe a mutie patient too then onto final chars
mezz - thanks for the crit, i'll probably add some hanging stuff at her waist (scavenged rags of lace or other white cloth she's picked up) just to make the silhouette a bit more interesting. she'll also have daubed medical symbols in red paint, but all pretty wip right now.
As he is my brother i have been told to make him slimmer Hence the Name Tony Vegas (the Slender Years). This is the 1st pass of the hi poly sculpt for the Normal map.Once textures are on i may come back and tweak the normal.
The 1st render shows a gap at the back,i detached the hair there, couldnt think of an easier way should be ok as planes will cover that. Will be using alphas for strands.
lmao came across my first textured model,
i can still remember the uv layout and how i cut up some pics and pasted it ontop of it, how happy i was with it...
man those days were the shit, too bad it all got lost, some big delete on my extern harddrive that i cannot remember doing,
all my work i did in the first years ;(
thought it would be a nice thought to give it a spot afterall
i call it a draggium, think ill do a remake in the near future

Sure do, Yoko from Gurren Lagan. Liking the way the hair falls in the front, but make sure not to forget the little skull ornament.

I've got nothing remotely critical to say about that model.
It kicks ass, just like unicorns!

As for me i have some more wip for my level :
Good looking scene there by the way, a bit of Rage taste I'd say, which is a great thing
More stuff soon.
Cheers, Nick.
