Well ... i've started a new project with my friend ,,, you can call it a small advanture game with darkbasic ... " Sinbad : the forbidden island " ... it has a a short story line and all the design are being made on-fly ... if no body mind i'll put the progress of the project here "My designs only" ...
as the design goes on-fly ... i do't have any idea where to start with ... but finally i decided to start with characters and here is the first on " it took one complete hour to model it "u can see how am i a noob with max "
everybody say hi to "Zomourod" :-
well .. you can see mu budget has 1500 tri's ... so i still have some tri's to play with ... i think i should add hanged wopean or a magician stick
i need your C&C ^^
EricV: The FAMAS rifle is made almost entirely out of plastic, so I don't think it would edge up quite like that as it seems to give it a metal look. Model is looking good though.
laying out muscle structure mainly...still trying to figure out how to lay out wing membrane in zbrush...may have to make that in maya. done entirely in zspheres and primitives.

by edge up you you mean spec im guessing? yeah i gotta play with it a little more, I was just getting a little fed up and wanted to get somthing out there already
Sectaurs: Yeah they are kind of jammed in right now since it's still a sub-tool. Once I get some more definition and make sure the position is right I'm going to insert mesh so I can work them into the body a bit nicer. In the meantime I'll be working on less noodles as well.
awesome design and good polysculpting there! I love the hanging skin on its neck. Although Why does it look like it's packing a tin of Skoal underneath the skin on its thighs? It seems like an awkward design choice to just throw in there.

Great work benclark!
Fucking awesome!
I'm going to try to make such a head every day. The time to complete this one was just over two hours in total.
I think I'll start a sketchbook if it actually works out .
Ben Clark: Very clean, great work!
Really inspiring stuff going on! Here's more work on my environment, planning on several changes for tomorrow.
MORE POWER SUIT! (fixed some proportions, legs from original concept and started to add in the under armor rubbery thingy

Started texturing
so far everything is looking soft and noodly - everything has a soft curve and the same amount of mushy definition. get some hard edges in there
Im still working away on this.

My second sculpt, focusing on the anatomy of el face and trying not to add too much micro-detail.
Brutal honesty shall be rewarded with a 'thank you'.
Here's some of my submission for the DEEP contest over at conceptart.org:
Head over to CA to see all the cool work (Robogabo's stuff is amaaaaaazing.)
Cheers, Nick.
