Lee i see a lot of cool stuff in there but i'm haing an awful time telling what's what and what's where. -- just a mess from that angle, tons of visual noise. You planning to split it up a bit more with lighting, or what?
SupRore: the warp environment is temp, making a custom shader that looks a little better and I have to do a lighting pass. yeah, its no where near the polish stages still adding decorations.
Armanguy, Unfortunatley no. Seems they've just got word of an 'Hiring Freeze' is in effect *shrugs* Continues job hunt~ May hit America's Army again within the week & see what's up.
Since I'm currently away from my own computer and I got bored, I decided to install Blender on my brothers old computer and try my hands on some simple animation(another new area for me). The mesh is 380 tris.:icon60:
Klash120: Nice work. The black handle might be because the 90 degree angle on the end is just too big a change for the normal map to handle. Adding in a wee bevel at the end should allieviate that
Super: Nice work. Is it based off someone? He looks familiar but I can't place who/why.
Fixed up the major crits, I think, although the manly jaw stays :P I'm about ready to call her done, unless there's any major changes need done (or really small quick tweaks).
Screenies from HLMV (Ep2 Source engine) this time. Looks a little odd in it, I think mostly because the engine gives much more preference to the straight diffuse texture. I might put her into UE3 instead, see if the results look more polished.
Neo - yeah, about three and a half quarts of Aristocrat Water Clear Polyester Casting Resin with some tint mixed in. Was fairly straight forward but I fucked up a lot, being my first time. Gearing up for round two.
I think that adding some noise to the spec texture would help, along with more color variation and dirt (she is a hunter/survivor person, so I'd guess she'd get dirty after a while, especially the shoes and pants).
Talon - your girls body is looking good but her face doesn't match, it took me a while to put my finger on it and then I did this paintover, hope you don't mind...
The eyes are too close together, the hair seems to have a seam line in a lighter shade when it should be darker around the hairline to the face skin + she should have little bits of fluffy stubble inbetween the braids to break up the perfect looking nature. Needs some depth, more shadowing around hairline, nose and mouth.
*Edit, just thinking, the prominent parts should be darker as the sun will hit these parts and her melanin will kick in giving her a tan.
slowly working on 'Dead-Eye Duck' from Bucky O'Hare.
it's 4400 polys at the moment with 1024 diffuse, spec, and normal
and how do you make awesome eyes? mine are always so lame!
Trying to fix up my normal map (Blender inverts red and green channels ARGH) and making a flamethrower particle effect (purely of 32x32x32 particles)

Jesus, that brings back some memories, Funky Bunnies. Looking sweet. I don't particularly see what's wrong with the eyeball you have there, other than it's not very glossy.
Ok, I think she's done. There's probably still a lot more I could do, but I think that's all stuff to bear in mind for the next project, I've actually learned quite a lot on this one. (Ok, so I might dirty the shoes some more before she goes in the folio, but shh!). Cheers for all the crits, guys
Just something i've been working on for Zombie Panic. Uses 512 Diffuse, Normal, Self Illum. Specular to come soon. Tricount is 764. I'm thinking of changing the texture behind the text to some some of plastic or painted surface.
Any plans to make the rest of the Bucky O Hare crew? Probably been about 15 years sense I last saw the show but If I remember correctly it had a quite a diverse cast of characters. A 1 eyed robot, a gorilla (Bruiser was it?), a rabbit with pink hair, some human kid, and of course Buck O' Hare himself. Not sure if I'm forgetting anyone, but would be neat to see the full cast in 3d.
You've listed about all of the crew of their ship, probably better than I could have. I had to watch some episodes with my nephew to jog my memory. It would be pretty awesome to do them all in 3d. Maybe I'll give it a go at some point. I was thinking about moving to another saturday morning cartoon next though - maybe I can even do an original character if I want to get really adventurous! haha

If the animation doesn't show for some reason use the link below:

Oh, and ignore the mip seams on the back
Progress on Tiny Attorney, still unsure about the hair.
Nice Kill Bill / Reservoir Dogs dude. At least, I think so. Hope I'm not an idiot.
Michael Madson.
Pretty decent likeness so far. Like to see how it turns out.

Lol >,< Looking forward to your second attempt.
I'll have another pass at the texture tonight and make a few tweaks on the model itself.
Good job.
These are really cool Sa7an.
I'm pretty sure that's a knee?
Awesome work, sa7an.
I'm half-cut after a Friday post-work drink... or something.
Sa74n nice work!

I was going to work more on the texture, but other things came up so I just threw him into a sloppy pose for now.
