awesome stuff xysdf. Thanks for the minor crit, I know my lines arent mimicing the masters, those sketches were an excersize in forms and anatomy really. Im gonna have to work more on my sketching and shading methods(crosshatching, parrallel lines etc). One step at a time huh . Been warming up for dom war 3 lately. hopefully theres plenty of time for it.
I really need to get my line control where you've got it xysdf... your lighting/shading is beautiful. I notice a lot of the better artists on conceptart.org sketch that way. Must learn.
more anatomy studies... really need to do some female head and hand studies. Running out of ways to pretend to hide the fact I can't draw them lol. Also, Chaos, I'm totally stealing your research on red-outlined nudes.
halloween harry. no idea why the girl looks like Six from BSG
need to spend more time setting up the initial sketch in a more dynamic pose/perspective than i have been. boo
Had fun with this one, tho lost focus and went a little brush crazy towards the end
Supposed to be some sort of dead monster in the background, tho it ends up lookin' more like an orange candy mountain.
Shaded the above sketch. What do you fellas think? I don't really have any idea what I'm doing, and I spent way too long for this outcome me thinks. Ah well.
Haha Peris I can't speak for StJoris but yeah that's definately from DenHaag! Man I think I passed near that building pretty much every day two years ago! Aaah memories! Stroopwaffels! Dui Dui!
Peris: That's not the Bijenkorf in The Hague though, is it? That was in the Amsterdam College, which was a really, really cool building. This one's cool too, but I don't think the one in The Hague was on a corner.
A character i've made.
Some sort of garbage man who also runs an antique store.
Will probably do coloring at some time in the future, but not right now.
Peris: man, I love the style. I guess I can understand having some reservations about using photos. I honestly don't know where I draw the line. To me, photo ref is totally cool, but photo overlays are not.. Haha, not sure how I justify that thinking. Very cool image no matter how you did it!
Asylum: I am loving those sketches, especially second to the bottom. I stopped there, and just enjoyed that for awhile.
Yes, bored in class, and I'm a geek. Sitting next to matt22181 in class and watching him draw has made me better. Just look at one of my older drawings. BIG CHANGE

Thanks Konstruct. Your colors is something I can learn from I think.
Here is me being scared of color again. A little practice to get me pumped for Dom3.

thx
After shading I use three color layers (setting color, low opacity)(red, blue, yellow) to give the face color.
That dude is rad, Matt22181. Lot of good stuff going on right now.
