Hey 32Rud, it started as a pencil sketchbook doodle then I took it to PS for some basic laying down of values and shading. As soon as it started to feel like a fight against the rigid PS brush engine I took it to ArtRage to paint it more freely. Then back to Photoshop for some more blending and detailing.
It works well but has one major drawback : A bitmap imported into AR is considered as completely wet paint which makes the next new strokes very butter-like. So I do the extra Artrage work on a new layer - but that means that the new strokes are made on a dry layer of canvas, thus not blending with the imported image underneath.
All in one - better to start it up straight in AR!
nice work pior! the new boobs are much nicer heh i tried out that artrage and its a pretty nice program ! think i will give it another shot soon ... but here is one done in photoshop ;o had to do a super quick banner thing for uni tomorow ;(
great colours pior. i dig your painting style.
the hip seems very odd though. kinda offset. and while the shape of the breasts looks better now i thought the bigger breasts suited the overall figure a bit better
I looove that one dfacto! would be nice to see such style running around in games...
& ferg, its always a pleasure for me to look at your stuff, great developement of style, I especially like the one on top of the page.
actually I wanted to make some sort of tree today, got bored of that idea quickly, some hours after it looked as it looks now. i'm happy with how it turned out but i will take a second look at it on sunday (will be on a short climbing holiday)
thanks, and nice one xysdf! Love the skin tones and strong shadow colors. Gonna have to try that tonight.
Been trying to inject some new juice into my drawings lately... been feelin a bit stagnant (hence the lack of updates in my sketch thread)... can you guess which forum I've been trolling around recently?
