A mini project i've started: not that happy with some of the proportions and anatomy of it, but thinik i'll adjust that when I take it into 3d Only started the armour version last night, so after finishing that i'm going to design a rider. Any crit or comments would be great!
Cheers.
i know this is not the way to fill in a drawing and i started doing things differently afterwards, filling in the rest of the drawing became a dissaster, her nose and mouth was like a cm too low ect, so i ripped it appart
no mo stepts to add i guess xD
That's awesome, but I think it's supposed to be "all-purpose", "buddy's" and "hideously".
nice idea. took the time to come up with a propper arrengment of the elements. the idea was good but u didnt work with the type effective enough i think. wasting alot space. u want things to be readable in adds
so clear structure and composition is what u want. also white on light isnt
a good idea if its what its all about ... i added a black dropshadow
something that might be an element of the time anyway .. and it improves
it a bunch....
I thought I'd re-post my sketch as I will, hopefully, get some better exposure to critiques here as opposed to the [thread=37295]Concept Tag[/thread] thread
DeathKitten: Looking cool so far, but the pose feels a little stiff to me... Maybe try doing another angle or pose of her in a concept piece with a referenced image of a nicely flowing pose? And I gotta ask... what happened to her left leg? I can't help but notice it has seemed to dissappear. Keep it up, I'd like to see more of her.
Ruz: Tell her that those cat illustrations are darn adorable :P

Thanks kindly I tried to convey the feeling that she isn't very happy or comfortable with herself, but at the same point she's trying to project confidence... but it seems that got translated as stiffness I agree with you though and may work another more natural pose for her at some point. I ended up erasing the left foot as I found it was too distracting to the flow of the skirt and I was pretending it got covered by the dark cloud surrounding her... but I probably should have just left it in as a shadow

Fartycat is soooo cute! I can't wait to show those to my nieces

Massbot: Digging the elephant dragon. My inner dork is wondering if those would have turned the tide against the Riders of Rohan or not.

ferg- Your work is so fun to look at, was just checking out your sketchbook. Really cool stuff!

Though I was more in love with the idea of it being huuge! Dragonsized! Or that's what the first picture told me ^^
Pior: Here's what brush I use, I got the brush set from M@ on CA.org. I find them amazing but they make me crash a lot.

heh, first thing people notice is spelling mistakes, and the first impression is one of laziness. Be careful

and another sketch of me and my buddy
Man, I am so going to pimp some more of her work.
she has sketchbooks full of cool ideas.
I was trying to make her learn 3d , but she finds it a bit hard to get in to, too technical for her liking
Zephir62 - looking cool, first one is my fav
DeathKitten - nice idea/colours, but pose need a bit of work like Mezz said
