Took some photos of my friends when I went back to Sweden for a week. We actually ventured out onto the frozen water, like a 100m out on the sea. Cool place for portraits I tell you xD
So, after having taken quite a few pictures here are some of my first! I went to paris on a 24-hour trip with my uni friends and here are some pics of that.
Some sort of catlike skeleton (don't remember the type of cat).
Building.
Wow Disanski, that horse race picture is just next-level man! Love how it looks like something from the past.
Urgaffel, not bad, I like the simplicity in the leaves.
It's been a while but I figured I should post something. I bought a 100mm macro yesterday and promptly took a picture of something hanging on my bag:
(I realise the DOF is a bit off. I'm still learning to use it )
Which lens did you end up buying? I just grabed a Cosina design Promaster 100mm 3.5 macro(also comes in vivitar, phoenix, and a few others - but same lens). For DIRT CHEAP. It sounds like shit, focuses really slow bu the glass is excellent! I dont have any amazing shots to show from it yet, but for the price, I highly recommend it. It goes for about $75-150, and if anyone wants one, look for the screw-on 1:1 diopter, it often doesn't come with that used, even at 1:2 its a really useful lens. Also doubles as a decent 100mm portrait lens. I bought this in a lot with some other cameras and lenses that I will sell, so it was practically free. For anyone looking for a cheap 100mm macro, it certainly beats spending $400+ on a 1st party lens.

Nice find! I ended up buying the Canon EF 100mm 2.8 USM from a friend so I paid less than full price Got some more shots with it that I need to upload, will post some of them here when they're online.
Thanks Xoliul! Really like the first two shots from Mexico, the third one is really cute.
A few more from yesterday:
Xoliul : Looked through the flickr stream, wonder shots.
disanski: Continuing with the great portrait work; I especially like this last one.
Arac: I really like that second shot of the laundry room, has a rather cinematic quality for me.
I recently acquired a new camera; Zeiss Super Ikonta C 6x9 medium format folding camera circa early 1950s. Managed to expose a few rolls of film with it and dropped them off at the photolab last week, should be getting back the negatives tomorrow. Here is a shot of my current analog lineup.
Left to Right: Holga 120N, Rolleiflex Automat 6x6 - Model K4A, Zeiss Super Ikonta C, Leica M6 + Leitz Wetzlar Summicron 50mm f/2
> I don't even know why I'm posting this. My dad's the professional photographer in my family, not me. Anyway, this is a couple of photos of a bird I took a month ago during a month long vacation in Florida...
Damn Paul very nice!! what are the lens on the Zeiss Super Ikonta? I was looking at a older folding agfa during the weekend with 75 mm lens on it but did not know too much about it so I let it go.
Love them Hp Alcatraz?
The colors on the first one are just beautiful. If it was me I would tilt it a bit so the frame of the window is vertical

Thanks Paul, nice to hear from you, as I definitely think you're one of the best photographers posting here.
And I know nothing of analog gear, but the names all sound fancy haha. What is that little modern device in the center? A light meter ?
HP: Cool, makes me wich I had more than an afternoon in SF when I was there. Those pictures analog or you're just making them look like they are? My fav is the prison shot, great contrast, mind sharing how you get that? I don't feel like I have the control I want over my B/W conversions.
Thanks dude! And btw, I agree with what you said regarding Pauls photos, what an inspiration! And most of them are in my ref folder.
I don't know a lot about photography really, only the basic about fstop, shutter speed and not a lot more than that. Even my lenses are pretty basic. (That reminds me, I need to start investing on proper lenses)
All you see there is me farting around with Lightroom. I love trying to mimic analog style photos with digital ones, it's a lot of fun.
Regarding the B&W pic, if you look carefully you'll see it's not really B&W, there's some color going on. There's a circular gradient of very desaturated yellows and purples, with very low contrast making the blacks almost dark grey. That way you mimic the classic B&W and make it look almost like you scanned a B&W photo. This is my opinion of course!
Really dig your flickr Xoliul, what kit are you using?

Yea that's the light meter I use; it's a Sekonic 308s. The Leica has an internal light meter that activates with the initiate press of the shutter button but I don't find it as accurate as the Sekonic.
Here is a shot from the Super Ikonta, uncropped, nothing special; just wanted to test out the functionality of the camera. The lens does flare rather heavily.
Awww is that an old Blockbuster?! Yeah, ouch, sucks to be them :P
Just a lil something from me. Poor little robin, ended up eating some of the suet in our yard to keep itself warm, since there are NO worms to be had when we get smacked with a wall of winter.
Damn I am really going to try to find time to learn more about shooting on film. I only have an old Praktica L but that should do me for start I am even taking it with me on the photo-shoot tomorrow
I have no pictures of old cameras but here is a girl
Nice collection of analogue camera's you have there Paul, how did you go about finding and purchasing them?
Also, one camera you should try get your hands on, if you're an avid and active collector, is a Mamiya C330, it's a fun camera to play around with.
I handled a C330 the other day at a friend's house; it's a cool camera, big, and I like the ability to change lenses. I got the Rollei and Ikonta off of eBay, it's a risk but there are many great cameras listed on that site, and fortunately both of the cameras I got from it work very well and are in great shape considering their age. The Leica I bought at a local camera store.
Two are Hasselblad 500 c/m, one is a Mamiaflex C2, one is some odd technical camera called a Horseman VR, then a Pentax k1000, and an Olympus Om-1.
I've been shooting with them, learning about this "film" thing, it's pretty neato.
Great collection DKK! A Hasselblad 500c/m is high on my list of next purchases. I'd be interested in seeing what kind of results you get out of those cameras.
Here are some shots from a new series I started; candid portraits of random people on the street; shot with the Rolleiflex. I essentially camped out the same location for a few hours and waited for people to walk by.

All Sigma 24mm btw. Didn't even take it off during the trip, I could do everything with that lens.

Using a f1.8 50mm Pentax K lens on a 40D. PITA to focus properly.
