How was the light during this shot? From your blog, it looks like it was pretty well lit. I always wondered how you can get good shots in low light conditions and everyone jumping around :P
The lighting condition was horrible tbh, average settings were 1/60s f/2 @ ISO 2500-3200 (even had to go to 12800 sometimes) It was ball breaking trying to get decent shots because I had to manual focus with tiny dof (no af lenses) and 1/60s is definitely not enough to freeze human motion :P
Thank god it was fullframe, or else I would've had to use horrible flash like 99% of the other photographers there. One thing that did help was taking photographs at the peak of action, like at the top of their jump or during really long notes.
AH, I hate taking my camera past ISO 1600 :P I learned a trick in a thread on Flickr to reduce noise. If you step up your exposure comp. a little, it reduces noise a bit... Not sure why, but it seems to work...
That's interesting, I'll have to try that later. What I usually do is expose to the right and bring it back down in post..that usually takes care of 30-45% of noise in the midtones.
Thanks carlo_c. This is the entrance of a cave near by where I live - mid Bulgaria. There are bunch of them here. I went to different one today but they did not let us take any pictures in case we bother the bats.
Here is another one.
EarthQuake wins! My pictures of landscapes and shitty waters will never compare to that.... Oh, and Firebert, lemme know when you leave, I'm taggin' along!
Nice picture Poop. The only thing that's bugging me is the glowing perfume bottles. Not the fact that they are glowing, it's the reflection on the bottom. Too intense? Reflection falloff? Not sure, but my eye went to it.
Live lizard this time! Rescued it from the cat, mite bit bloodied and afraid. Fingers crossed for good luck. Here's a zip of 20~ other crappy ref photos; nothing spectacular, but perhaps useful. Sigh, can't resist being thorough...
Love all the environment shots here, jeremy/Darth/EQ/griffin/everyone, so freakin' beautiful. *vomits from the beauty*

You know I actually like overexposure in some shots, this is one of them. I think it really draws your eye in.
My failed attempt at a macro with my kit lens :P
Nice! Reminds me of Houston in a way actually.
Wouldn't have seen this, but the cops were at a house directly below this ridge. They were pulling a dead guy out of his house...

First long exposure water shot.
Anyone else get a warning on flickr saying we have to link to th photo page now instead of linking the photo itself (like I'm doing here)?
Nice shot, the transition from water to ground is weeeeird.
EDIT: something from me, was going through pics on the CF card and thought this was something.
My sis.
Was taken at dusk, forgot to use the tripod... But I like how it turned out after some heavy PP.
