I am still terrible with everything relating to game art, but I just got zbrush and couldnt stop myself. It is a piece of shit, but oh well, I tried. Tablet is at home, so its all mouse done, and looks like a blobby piece of poo. Alot of detail lost in small texture. Oh well.

I like really bobo's sdk head and thats why i create my own skin. I did first a highpoly version with zbrush and after that the texture with photoshop, it was really fun to make it. Everything together take me around 2 hours.
Hey there, it's my first post on these forums, just wanted to share a little head I made in a contest with TheRKiller (previous post), started out as practise between us two but couldn't resist to share mine as well I kind of overdid it and created a body to go with the fat guy-head, I hope that's allowed

Most of it was handpainted, just a few groce details were photosourced
i think you should get rid of that overlayin text there. but anyway as far as it seems the whole thing looks sorta blurry and overlayin photobits didnt do much plus shadows are too dark!?!? i dunno this monitor here is crap too tho
qubism: Thx for the crits dude Sorry for the watermarks but I just put them there because I posted them on another Dutch forum where I got ripped off once and someone used my texture directly on his model So I always put watermarks on the pics I post on that forum, accidentally also posted that image here, so sorry The body texture is a 256 map, so that's probably why it looks blurry. The photos not doing much is because I wanted to handpaint as much as I possibly could, as an exercise. As for the shadows being too dark, I wanted a dried blood look and kind of made them darker than I should have, but since I'm only having fun it doesn't really matter Thanks for the crits! I'll take them into consideration next time!

i went with a more stylized texture than i generally use.
Textures used, were cosine, spec, color, and normal. i also Re UVed the model as well. total time was about 5 hours spare time here and there over the past few days. I'm not totally happy with it, theres still a lot i would like to tweak but oh well hehe.
He's mirrored, why would you uv both sides of his face (that is, if I'm reading those thumbnails right)? Apart from that it's pretty good. A bit shiny for my tastes, and the black 'dirt' on his lips is just weird, but then again you mentioned you weren't entirely happy with it, so maybe you knew all of this

the edgeflow sucks, but i kinda liked the silhouette.
the end result's not especially polished, but it was a lot of fun!
