from what i can tell in my refs, the steel plates are used as cieling tiles, hiding wire and crap, then above that is a more reinforced roof. keep in mind this is the level after its been attacked. current tri count total (including stuff offscreen) is about 6,000 i believe.

ne ways, heres a building I'm working on from some new york building ref. so far its 3k polys. still plan to do another pass for detail on the lower part after I get the rest of the crap blocked out.
woa I used the ut2004 editor for the first time and I must say its awesome to be able to see the lighting right away. Imported some of my models just to test it out. As you can see, ive no idea yet how to scale models in the editor or rotate:P. Didnt have enough time, will read more about it later.

No issue Dizzy, actually it was not even stylized hair but just a placeholder. I'll use some more elaborate hair in the end. I wont sculpt the hair at all actually - I don't really like the plaster look that zbrushed/mudboxed hairstrands have.
Nice pages everyone! Cool again Sama, yet there are still some wonky things on the UVs. Pretty colors tho! I'll try my hand at these later.

No Poopface anymore, I switched back to the sharp and edgy version, ha!

Anyway this idea didn't let me sleep and this afternoon I did a <u>quick test</u> with PROJECTION MASTER and my DIZZYALPHAHAIR -
....about 10 minutes work. I know that's not perfect but I see some possibility there.
We can use also DECO BRUSH to finish it.
For a game character we don't need it , is n't it ?

i've been working on him some more, the feet need some improvement and then i think i'm ready to unwrap him. I decided he should be an urban city guy :P here's the progress:
Japhir, speaking as someone who dresses like that regularly, the neck of the sweatshirt should be more v-shaped and about level with the clavicle, instead up under his chin. And the pant legs should be longer, clumping up around the shoes. Hope that helps.
