Damn Ercin! You've really improved with your artwork man! I really liked your previous concept for your Dom War entry. I had it as my desktop background at work for a while.
level i am working on. anyone have any suggestions? the scene just looks wrong to me... can't figure it out. light sources are light in the pipe vents, and a fire off screen. environment is supposed to be a bomb shelter.
Askhat: probably I can't finish my Dominance War entry until deadline.I have some trouble.I just want to learn more about Highpoly and normalmapping.Thats just a wip not anew dominance entry.
btw your orcish character looking impressive man,I like it alot.looking forward to see dressed.
Caseyjones :Many thanks brother, thats a honour to me and
Please show your desktop to all BigAnt studios, you know I am seeking internship
Did this last night but only spent about 1.5 hours on to it. I am planning on doing as much detail as realistically possibly for todays games. A lot of the finer details will be done in Mudbox.
Jarrod, this is meant to be a bomb shelter yeah? How come it has a corrugated iron ceiling? Shouldn't there be some kind of wall or ceiling lights? I'm sure whoever is down there doesn't want to be sitting in the dark.
Rooster: Maya paint is pretty awesome! Been using it at work more and more lately. Mostly to fix seams and do minor texture tweaks...
How are you finding it for making an entire texture? I can't wrap my head around it quiet yet...
hi man, that last one I took a shortcut- I mudboxed bits of him and baked out some lighting as a base, but still I painted a lot of bits by hand. I'm really liking it, infact it makes my ambition to do a short animation come back to life.. one thing I liked was making the entire texture look like one material in photoshop, stone/cloth/padding and using the file texture painting to paint the different versions onto parts of the model, and touch up afterwards
That's looking hot cybroxide. Your lighting is pretty inconsistent in some parts though, i'd suggest keeping an eye out for that. I love the shapes of his face though, looks like a Mon Calimari from Star Wars (Admiral Ackbar!)

thanks, you're right i do need to add a some more light sources. and that light encasing pic looks cool, i will probably use that style when i add them.
as for the ceiling, i am just going off one of my refs, world war 2 bomb shelter, the Laval Shelter (lots of graffiti now though):
great model I recognised him immediatly lol, silly sky tv seem to be playing the first 5 episodes on repeat or something grrr I wanna see more Heroes haha
Trem for powerwrinkles simply freeze the polygons sitting under the bit that you want to wrinkle up ad move the non-frozen polygons over the edge, dragging them down in a gently manner.
for sharp wrinkles you can do the opposite, ie freezing the overlapping part and tucking the editable polygons under the wrinkle. There is a nice vid showing how to make fingernails by Arshlevon laying around somewhere showing just that.
Update! I tried a smoother version of th efacial features but I think I'll switch back to the chiseled version. Slapping a base body and adding template hair also.
Any good recommendation for highpoly hairstyling? THe kind of solution in which you actually comb long hair over the skull either in Max or Maya. I've heard or Ornatrix... But I guess I'll end up with transparent poly stripes anyways ha!

edit: forgot to mention any critiques/comments are welcome, though there isn't much to comment on at this point imo.

Anyone help with some tips for less choppy wrinkles?

Looking cool, Adam. You have more polys there than I had for an entire environment in Stacked
