Much better, thanks. The only confusing thing left to me is some overlap with AMTools. I see ShapeShifter is both in C+ and AMTools?
ShapeShifter is rather supported , not implemented in Crease+ , in short, it must be bought for Crease+ to use it
Ah yeah. But ShapeShifter can't be bought alone, it's now part of AMTools right? So if I have AMTools anyway I guess I'm not sure why I need ShapeShifter in Crease+? No biggie of course, just a bit confusing.

Yep ShapeShifter is part of AMT, Hmm It's there for the persons who have ShapeShifter as It fits the workflow, Crease+ has Its own options (HBevel, Solid Bevel), I personally use a lot of HBevel.
Made this one today, It's so addictive. I mostly used HBevel, precisely on Faces rather then on objects, Quick Smoothing (30), Panel, Mesh Slicer, extrude Tool and Multi-cut Tool, Delete History (avoiding some problems !) .. the Crease+ dump is waiting for you ! : https://www.artstation.com/artwork/kmLwl Shots of 3696 : https://www.artstation.com/artwork/vyqDD
Not sure whats up, keep getting the same error message (// Error: file: E:/Program Files/Maya2016/scripts/LaunchCreasePlus.mel line 538: Object 'inViewGRP' not found.) when I hit me assigned hot key and i pasted the comment from the online doc, so i don't think its that.

Make sure the installation is right
Put The 'C+_Icons' folder from the .Rar Archive in Your Maya Script Directory, under | C:/Users/UserName/Documents/maya/Maya_version/scripts/ Put the .mel file under the same directory.
Quick freestyle Tips of the day : -Get component of interest quickly , with ' To edge Perimeter ' (CTRL+RMB Marking menu) when Face(s) are selected. - /!\ Important one : At one point , the object will be so complex, so dense that commands will come slow , The Workaround is to get the part of interest , select Faces and extract them to later merge back in with a low Threshold .
I did get it set up correctly and the script does work. My main issue is I can't get the Crease window to show up. I do have it set to a hotkey, the script i mean, but no luck with the crease window
Hello, Just 2 things: -- I do not know if the "usual" behaviour, but sometimes when I apply a boolean operation, some extra edges are added. It so tedious because I have to spend much time trying to correct these issues
-- If I apply Hb or Sb and then Ctrl+Z, Maya continues crashing, I mean always. It does not happen with the booleans operation, just the bevel operations. Any idea? Is this normal? Thanks
Other example with a very simple piece (yellow edges are the ones the script creates in the operation) I forgot (Maya 2017 Update01 )+Windows7 64 bits)
Hello, A fast test to check deeply the tool. Thanks for your updates and for making this better
Nice ! , what was your workflow ?
Hello WayWo, basically: HB locally (face selection) + MultiCut+Maya Bevel in some parts+Smooth 30 angle+Ca+Dh+Panels. I have to correct some issues by hand ( I have to connect some points in the holes to make the boolean works properly and even remove the extra geo the tool generates ). I used to render in Keyshot so I have to triangulate the mesh before exporting the obj (because the default geometry generates weird results in Keyshot with normals). -- Even its a good idea to increase the Bevel Density above 4 when you use Hb (at least as I have checked) -- As I said in my previous post I am only concerned about the extra geo I have to correct because sometimes it is a bit frustrated. Thanks for your time Cheers

Thanks for help

These are inevitable , when the Bool operation stumble upon high density area it creates these, Sometimes it will behave correctly even if it's dense, here are some tips :
- Do the whole boolean blockout before dealing with the Beveling part of the workflow , so you have 1st blockout step (boolean), then 2nd step (Beveling), 3th step (Mirroring) ...
- Just delete them (redundant) if you're not that organized (just like me)

Try to attach the same command to a shelf button , if it doesn't work then You'll provide more details to me by PM

Hi there, don't know why but after using solid bevel - undo crashes maya 2017(update 1)
The more complex the object is , the heavier gets the process.. For example I had no problems undoing SolidBevel with that one :
Also ! As stated in the documentation Solid Bevel has a down side in Performance compared to HBevel. That's why most of the time I'll use HBevel , because it has the best performances over the other bevelers. Don't forget to save your work tho!

The same here with Sb and Hb (does not matter the complexity of the object, I have tried with 2 simples cubes with difference). Something strange. Can i ask your OS witos?

Windows 7 x64, yeah same case, dont't know why it is crashes
Sorry friend just can't get that window to show up. Can i pm you on fb?
Of course you can, but I know what may cause the problem though. One person had a similar behavior in the past (beta - phase) , it has something to do with the prefs folder, it need to be deleted for a fresh start , again , installation is key , so I'm waiting for your screens by PM.

Nice update, and nice save!
Digging the doodles too.

"I purchased and used ADN Modeler Tools and CreasePlus. Those scripts can do miracles!"
Working on it guys , I get that it is a new workflow for a large audience

Put the .mel file under the same directory.

As you can see, extra geo appears in second and third solution.

Density matters in Boolean operations, the fact these objects are not similar in density creates extra geo..

Do you need to see anything else?
@karlor This is an installation error, please Make sure you follow these steps (from Documentation) :
-Put The 'C+_Icons' folder from the .Rar Archive in Your Maya Script Directory, under C:/Users/UserName/Documents/maya/Maya_version/scripts/
-Put the .mel file under the same directory.
the correct command
Hope it helps : ) , also make sure you clean the wrongs also
Now you have to select one by one the objects to apply the smooth30. Can you add the change to do it with multi selected objects?
Next model (done with Crease+ and QuickPipe). Hope you like
