José Manuel!! Increíble trabajo como siempre @jmlinares , lindo verte aquí en Polycount también. Keep at it you monster!
Buenas Justo!! Aqui estoy enganchao a este desarrollo que siempre lo he echado en falta en Maya. Todavía muchas cosas que pulir pero es un comienzo. Un saludo enrome y me alegro mucho de saludarte por aqui!!
Hi. Just bought crease+ and I have few questions. I'm working on Maya 2016 sp6. 1. I try to add nice bevels like on your trailer video but its looks very ugly:
I can't find the reason why it looks like this. I tried to attach verts from boolean to every side. I made loops. When I worked in similar plugin for Blender i didn't have so weird effects. 2. There is any way to avoid crashing? Sometimes Maya crashing after 5 minutes of working.
Hey man, thanks for this tool its awesome, loving playing around with it so far. I hate to be 'that guy', but will you be showing any walkthroughs or tutorials on how you did some of those models, e.g. in the trailer or the latest one you posted? It would be cool to see how the tool is implemented in a practical way. Thanks again!

I'm working on an Overview video that will cover everything, mate , I feel like Grade A sometimes, sorry .

Just get to The Channel Box, and Choose Star , Or Round from the Bevel Type attribute rollout Each New versions brings better performances , for less crashes , It's rare on My side (Maya 2017 with of course the last update / Service Pack ).
Hello Torch. Just one personal recommendation. Sometimes (more if you increase the complexity of the model), you will have to connect (manually) some part of the geometry to avoid these issues (broken corners etc), or change between different types of Bevel. Personally I prefer to fix the geometry obtained in boolean process.

One way to avoid big manual tasks is to use HBevel in Face Mode, Yep, sometimes corners are wrong , It's totally fine to change the Bevel Type, most of the time I use Round . Also as far as complexity goes , operations will be heavier , splitting some parts is required for that last issue. Working on the next update aswell
*yo, yo! Do you have some sort of making of, workflow, breakdown, how to video or something for a model like that using this tool? (totally not a modeler, sorry )
Hello, Attached you can find a video of a behaviour when you select round or start type with Hb Download video here

It's inevitable, It happens mostly with cylindrical shapes with NGons, That's why Average is the prime choice. -go and weld the artifacts , but yeah , time consuming... -just tweak topology so there's no Ngons -Or use ShapeShifter if you have it , but here again, ShapeShifter can't perform in Face Mode so you might want to extract that part if you absolutely want it to have "Round " Distribution...
Bought the script. I am having an issue with Maya crashing a lot. Specifically when I am doing undo's. Is this something that is currently being worked on? I am Maya 2017 Update 1.

Yes, constantly , what is your OS ? It seems like most of the users having crashes are running on Windows 7 rather then Window 10 (rare crashes on my side) ...
I am actually on Windows 8. . Maybe I am having the same issues as people on 7, I can try running it on my work computers Monday as they are using 10. Maybe it will be more stable on that platform.

Just want to echo the sentiment that having a video covering the basics would be extremely helpful! The tool looks amazing but it's unclear how to use it effectively. Thanks. I've only managed to figure out a handful of the tools.

*what he said.
what they both said!
Just bought the tool and still having problems figuring out how to optimally use it. The beveling you're doing in the videos is not the sort of results i'm getting when trying it myself and the speeded up video isn't very clear and impossible to frame by frame to see what you're actually doing. Could you do a quick explainer video at normal speed and maybe with text or voice instructions?
Just to give a idea. If you look at miauu scripts he always does 2-3 minutes videos explaining new features that way you can always google that one thing and it's fast and informative. Plus you don't have to do a whole movie that way
realy love your tool, great and using it a lot. But please can I ask for little bit more readable update emails? It's little bit messy - viewed in Chrome Gmail on Win10
Hey, I was wondering, when working with quite large objects the max DBevel Offset for HBevel of 4 doesn't quite cut it, restricting it to just creating these really small bevels. Is there any way of making the offset go past 4? Shapeshifter does work for this but it doesn't let you use it in face mode like HBevel does. Maybe this is just me being dumb and there's some setting I've missed or something

Enter numerical values directly in the field from the Channel Box and it shall work

Haven't been able to get that working, just resets back to 4 every time I change it.

For me its still a bit confusing how the tool works... so a good idea is to make a video explaining just the basic, just a kickstart
But anyways, amazing tool, really cool stuff here has well.

Thank you, great work on this tool!
And thank you for the tutorials.
Is it even doable? Or are you relying on newer API calls?
