awesome work man, keep on going! Love your line work, seems like a solid foundation to carry into painting. I'm sure you'll be good in no time.
Thanks! Yeah the painting work is coming along - it's taking a bit of a hiatus this month because of Inktober, but I'll be taking some of my favourite sketches and painting over them most likely. I learnt to draw from comic books and cartoons as a kid, so although my subjects changed, I'd already developed a strong sense of line that I liked and so I've had it as a bit of a crutch.
Obligatory: I really don't think this reads very well - it isn't obvious enough what's going on, but I like the concept and may revisit it. Inktober day 6: "SWORD" - messed up a slightly better rendered version of this and needed to post before the deadline (that's life), inspired by the great Mike Mignola
Little Timmy's parents had warned him not to stray too far on their beach trip, but he didn't listen, and now he has seen horrors that cannot be unseen...
I'd love to see a crime noir miniseries investigating the death of Humpty Dumpty - why were all the King's Horses and all the King's men so close to the scene to begin with? Was it the royal family behind the hit?
You may have thought you lost that solitary sock in the tumble dryer, but it was actually found by an interdimensional imp with a fondness for warm knitted footwear Inktober day 30 FOUND
Taking an illustration from Inktober (there are a few I'd like to develop) and pushing it to a character/creature design - THE GYM RAT, also known as "Pinky and the BRAWN" - "what shall we do tonight brawn?" "The same thing we do every night pinky... BENCH PRESS AND HAMMER CURLS"...
Seriously digging your work after scanning through your sketchbook. Your inktober drawing were highlights, as was the KFC robot. Your 3D stuff looks really good too, the gargoyle statue stands out there.

Keep up the good work, man!
Thank you! It means a lot to know I'm not the only person rattling around in here! Here's a WIP of my GYM RAT character:

"CIA GOT YOU PUSHING TOO MANY PENCILS?" Attempted to depict the most epic handshake in cinematic history for Inktober day 29 "United"

Quick paint of back view, detail is mainly communicated in the front, so no real need to be too tight with this, as long as the design gets through
