EricElwell: I really like the way you render armor! One thing that bugs me about the characters though, is that you haven't taken the stylization far enough, in my opinion (this is a matter of taste of course). I don't think you have to copy the disney/pixar look like everybody else (me included sometimes, hehe), but right now they read like real people, with odd proportions. Which might be what you are looking for, but if you're going for the stylized look, I'd suggest simplifying some forms, and perhaps working on the eyes, to get a more toony feel. But do keep posting!
Makkon: Lovely as usual!
Great stuff from everybody else too!
My latest experiment, trying to get better at shapes and sci-fi stuff. ^^;
Gnashed, thanks for the comments! Yeah, you're right.. the style is a moving target and it is partly subject to the technique. I usually start with random shapes on a page and then start imagining facial features within them and trying to justify the oddities.. like what is this huge form off the side of the head? Is that hair? A crazy helmet? Huge gauged earlobes? The tricky thing is that the oddities are both the magic and the challenge, and you're right, a lot of times they just look odd. I've still got some work to do to pull these characters all together into a cohesive style.
Generally speaking though, we've defined the style target as painterly caricature .... "Pixar/Rembrandt/Caricature" which I'll admit is a bit of a conceited sounding description, but that's the target heh.. I appreciate the feedback, it's very helpful!
I don't usually draw/sketch/concept and i know this is pretty bad but i thought it was fun.
The game is match the name with a fruit/food/color, so in this case banana = bman and if cooked a banana can be almost blackish but i went with a color version.
Just posting for the mention of the game to cook up ideas pun intended.
@zeroCartin looks great, I like the sense of movement. @EricElwell Inspiring as always. Great progress on the Knight. I really like the hover skiffs as well. @acapulco Love the broken down castle interior.
Coming up with some ideas for an art comp at Wowhead. Wanted to stop and gather some reference. Right now I'm leaning toward drawing something for a dungeon or raid.
Contest is here for anyone else that might be interested.
Something im working on for a group project. Taken a few hours already, needs more refinement but hopefully you get the gist of what it's about, some critique is always welcome.
I've enjoyed getting back to my roots as a traditional animation background artist on this recent project. It's a page designed for an adult colouring book (a charity gig).

Nooo, keep going. These are brilliant!
I am primarily a 3D artist, but I've decided to go back to what got me wanting to work in games in the first place. Drawing!
I have a bunch of thumbnails and roughs I'm working on at the moment, but here's my first finished piece. I'd LOVE any critical feedback
