Kolibri, that expression is super cute and reads well. Her proportions are spot on, the foreshortening on her left arm (our right) is a little strange, and I'm not sure about the nose (that may be a species/character trait). But this is really solid.
Thank you! I love characters with a lot of expression, so I appreciate that. I'll take another look at her arm. And her nose - I forgot to mention, she is a gnome. They are described as having "prodigious" noses, so I tried to make it kinda big, but hopefully not so much that it's distracting.
Kolibri: Cute character! I have been thinking about painting my dnd character too, very inspiring!
Mossed Neuronn: There are a few things that are bothering me, the biggest issue is the shapes, and how they interact. The mountain on the right has almost the same shape as the mountain on the left, which gives the landscape a constructed and rigid feel. Also, the mountain itself (especially the one on the right) is rendered too much like a single cliff, which is causing the scale to be hard to read. The sky is not very interesting at the moment, darkening the blue a little bit and adding a few cloud formations could solve that. Right now, the lighting is telling me it's sunny, but the sky is telling me that it's misty. I do like it though, the colors are neat, and I like the idea of the mountain path.

Mossed Neuronn, cheating is good.
You should decide what is your primary element in your pic. is it that glowing platform or is it the tower? Right now they are competing.
I assume your main idea was to highlight that beautiful tower so I would recommend to either get rid of that platform or make it less noticeable.
I did a little paintover where I removed that platform. It gave me a better looking picture already, because it's obvious what you are trying to show us. Plus now there's the feeling that the tower is really high, because there is nothing in front of bottom of the tower and you can see how it fades in that far away fog.
Good job on that tower thing, by the way. Paintover
P.S. My english is horrible.
PS. Im sorry but how can i post an image here??? Iยดm looking for about on forum... :( and please feel free to fix my english mistakes :poly122:

A color study using mainly black and white (or close enough) with one accent color. About 50 minutes per sketch.
Unlike my other sketches, this one was quite difficult to come up with ideas. I tried to think of environments that are black and white (besides snow...) and not just any environment painted using black and white only. This was definitely the most difficult study until now, but was a lot of fun
I mentioned the difficulty in finding comprehensive reference to my wife the other day. She came back with a suggestion that we should hit the local flea market and see if we can pick up some objects on the cheap ... nothing like modeling something that's sitting right in front of you!
So we gave that a shot today ... I think this'll work. Found these for $18 total:
Mossed: I would agree with the critique premium gave you. Perhaps you could do it the other way around too, focusing on the platform and keeping the tower as a silhoutte in the background (perhaps adding two that are more distant, 3 is always a nice number).
premium: thanks for the critique, I appreciate overpaints. Agree that tower lost focus with the platform. I had it with no light at the beginning, but wanted to add some different color, since plain blue picture used to look boring. But it ended up how it's ended up. Wasn't a good idea.
Gnashed: thanks for the critique. Yeah, actually had more towers on the background when I was doing them in Blender. Just remembered it when you mentioned that it would be nice. Have no idea why I removed them. Probably just put on another layer and forgot about them. What a facepalm...
Done! ...I think. I keep finding more things to paint. I might put a few more details/cleanup in but it should be done enough to use for my character portrait.
Hello everyone. New guy here. I've been working on weapons, and a lot more. I'll love to hear any constructed criticism. Alright well here are some weapons

Long story short I got an unexpected deadline extension and am looking to spend it fixing all the things I wasn't able to get to while racing to beat the clock. That includes any advice anyone happens to give within that window!
I changed the background a bit because I was trying to keep it on a quick study, but at the end I spent some hours on it. I also changed the color palette just for testing some color combinations.

Wrap tool can't help.

Anyway, another horrible pic from me:
(cheated with Blender)

A few stills from the short story I have been working on. A bit of a twist on Peter Pan.
Done! Now off to study those composition tings.

seework: Cool stuff! Really dig the samurai in the swamp/field.
Decided to render a sketch I made a couple of days ago.. bronze dragon! ^^
Painted this loading screen for a Dota 2 set.
Dark Elf archer.
Got to use my portrait for D&D this week, and one of the guys I'm playing with asked for one of his character. Here's Lotarius:

Some abandoned artwork Ayeee. Has anyone gone back and finished a painting they did years before? I have not.
Yesterday I did a color study from a photo of one of my dogs, Brego (https://instagram.com/p/qY6QOeuEZn/)
I changed the background a bit because I was trying to keep it on a quick study, but at the end I spent some hours on it. I also changed the color palette just for testing some color combinations.
