Still playing around with these stones, gonna throw this bad boy into substance designer and see what i can output.
I think if you hit all of those stones with a nice fat bevel it would really help when viewed from an angle (aka first/third person looking at ground).

Did a few tests last night and i def need to make the edges a bit more defined. also i will be removing the surface noise in the sculpt and using Substance for the micro and medium details.
The scarf is literally me just being a lazy shit and taking the head, duplicating it and smashing it down with the snake hook or a groom brush or some shit, lol.

Just the claybuildup brush (with no alpha) and being carelessly stupid with strokes, lol Material is just the BasicMaterial matcap with the light from above.
I started some blend-shape stuff over the weekend. Not sure how far I'll take it, but the Breakdown of UE GDC Kite Demo highlighted some blendshape stuff, and now I'm intrigued to try these out in engine.
Seeing them side by side like this really helps me see how a lot of the profile angles don't hold up so well. I'll have to revisit the sculpts.

While waiting for the UE4 plugin for SD 5, I've started a pavement material, testing some of the techniques used by Nicolasw here.
