why is everything so symmetrical? i get the idea of the pose, but having it all symmetrical, no balance and counter balance, makes it feel like he is sitting or prepare to sit on a toilet. Put his right leg further to the back, move his arms a bit, twist the upper body some more. You are close to the finishline!
Thank you Fingus! No, the Centaur is 100% balanced and stable on its own. Those images are of the final production piece!
I have a Shapeways copy, and will post more images when I receive my copy from Ownage. So far, all the customers have received there Ownage Kits and everything has come out great. They really exceeded any expectations I could have possible had regarding production quality.
Hi guys, I'm new to this website, just posting up some of my work. I'm a current student at the Art Institutes of Austin and I'm about to graduate, so I would appreciate some tips and critiques to help me improve. This was modeled in Autodesk Fusion 360, the rendering was also apart of the program. It comes with keyshot-like options like click&drag high resolution textures.
This looks great! I feel like the hand cursor is wayyy too big though. The cursor is bigger than your entire main character, which is a little distracting. Looks like a lot of fun though!
Here is my FKA Twigs portrait. ZBrush, VRay, Photoshop.
Some shots from a game prototype I have been working on. Using the amazing Quixel and Unity 5. These are screens from Unity. I cant believe how good Unity's graphics have become.
that is some crazy detail Gav! awesome job! ^_^ Jakob Gavelli, nice job on the banner! duncan, great sculpt, always love the way you render the shots!
nice job on Valeera, MadGunslinger! LeeoRezende, love that hair! so smooth O_O JoshVanZuylen, that's a super cute guy! really liking the textures daphz, love the face and hair on her

YBourykina As I mentioned on FB, beautiful results on your Musketeer! I really need to start exploring using sculpts to base my handpainting from. Oskar! I absolutely love this little pink character! Has a super fun 80's Sci-fi feel and you nailed the conept. Looks like I have a new character artist to follow. Texelion Oh man, that Syx is awesome. I love seeing the wild stuff you work on. Some of your commissions are truly bananas. Alemja That project is coming along really well - super rad!
Just recently finished up this little project. I am considering getting her printed, so I might have to reach out to Texelion for some guidance with Shapeways if I can't figure it out. lol
Thanks Pedro. I bet the part you noticed is kinda off because I had some wrong references (airsoft parts...).
But I modelled the mag plate exactly like the one I have here.
As I said, I will open a thread soon and you are welcome to critique everything you see : )

I'm thinking about popping the buttons off to make the poly count lower than it is, will make for better bakes, too.
Going to get into texturing soon
High res on the left, Low on the right!

some more progress from me
"Clay" render of the lowpoly normals with some flat colors and patterns in the diffuse, hair is currently a placeholder.

Looking good!
I would change this though.
That round part in the bottom where the mag goes in. Make it rounder and fatter.
Looks cooler, plus it's suposed to be like that ;D
Also, that mag plate, make the top more like this:
So it kinda clamps on the mag itself. Which means the lowpoly will be simpler as well.
Awesome weapons dude! That Kriss is tight!
critic appreciated
