this was a good learning experience, had a chance to play around with fun colors.
wanted to do a tutorial on her, but ended up jumping around a lot and changing the textures from where i initially started, i'll try and make one for the next one.

shinobik: I'd take another screenshot on Sketchfab for the model preview as the current one didn't have the textures loaded at full resolution. Otherwise you work is also an inspiration!
@Jakob , at the wood at the left side next to the metal spike , the texture is a bit jaggedy.
I really like these. They remind me of Micro Machines.
I would look into pushing some color into the shadows. The Yellow Bug has some areas that are beginning to lean towards grey.
Now the grey areas, would those be around side windows? (its suppose to be metal/chrome strip but bad angles and mipmapping pixelized it too much ) cause if not then i may need to recalibrate my monitor.... But now on closer inspection and double checking texture there does seem to be very strong gray shadow behind the front wheel that needs fixing. Probably sloppy AO + Multiply layer.
Great work so far! Would love to see you push the proportions more though. If this is meant for WoW then your shapes should be more stylized and exaggerated. Your color palette could be more colorful as well and could use a more cohesive color scheme. Right now the strongest contrast in your piece is those white and red shields at the top. I don't think that's where you want your focal point to be so be more selective of your color choices. Really looking forward to seeing your update on this piece with the sky and grass textures that you mentioned.
@Markdidit - Your house looks cute! I agree with Antonio on the contrast and other bits he mentioned. A little tweak on the texture on photoshop, and I'd think you have a great piece!

So, here's a prop I finished recently!
You know, I have this bad habit of not pushing a piece further once I already have posted it online and gotten some feedback. so amateur! so yeah, the advised improvements to my texture painting was intriguing enough to me that I had to try to apply it to this piece.
now to keep going mooooore!

first time making textures like this, i don't know what to do, to make this better... please give some advices
this is the retexture I started a few months back and put aside, I really loved working with the colors and decided to finish it!

Now, this is my new stuff, some of these props I did a while ago, I just decided to put all together in one scene.
Having a bit of a reflection and would like to ask all the great people of polygon their opinion on my textures.
Ive been trying to hand paint textures for a while now and have followed along with the videos of Jamin Shoulet taking a class. Are my textures cartoony enough?
Sometimes I feel as if they arn't, but a bit grittier and dark, is there a call for this type of work?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
