I feel like I really need to break up the values, especially on the dragon head, but I'm not sure how to do it. I really wanted a sorta carved or cast metal head feeling and I don't really wanna throw a bunch of different materials in that area giving him gold teeth or some such.
And I can't seem to settle on a color. This whole time I've been working in red, but now I'm feeling drawn to the blue.
Let me know what you think. I'm hoping I can get this done this month, but could use your help either way
Personally, I like the red one, it fits with sniper's color scheme. It looks good right now, but I think some yellow or orange should be added so the colors match up with the sniper model
Not really seeing it! sorry! In the icon his head wrap is blue but if you look in-game it's a crazy iridescent color like the rest of his clothing.I guess the bones look like ears.. is it really similar enough where it's a problem? O_o
Nah, totally fine. I think that Vlad was just remarking on it because there's some resemblance in the pointy chin and bare teeth but it's more nice than distracting if anything.
I'm not against changes if enough request it and think it's for the better, but some of the claims seem like pretty big stretches to me lol. his 'blue hood' looks nothing like meepo in game, I can maybe understand moving the horns but we'll see how people feel! hehe.
This is my third Dota item, first time I've summoned the courage to post on here. Still having trouble balancing the amount of detail/rest on blades (pretty much went for all out rest here, couldn't get any noticeable detail to look nice in-game) and working with the low res for textures, but definitely coming along compared to my previous items.
I need to know if those items have the work in progress posted on the thread or are just the final image
its mandatory to post the work in progress to help the new guys

Realised I haven't done anything this month so I knocked up some quick Huskar Weapons. Hopefully will have these textured over the next day or two. Wasn't sure on the rules regarding Main Hand and Off Hand weapons so i'll probably just submit one of them for the monthly but both to the workshop

To be honest I never saw his rifle on the workshop, and was well under way way with mine when he was added to the test client. Even still, I almost abandoned mine completely when I saw it.
In the end, I decided I didn't wanna drop all my work, and I'll just leave it up to Valve to decide.
Unless you're talking about a completely different weapon that also looks similar...which will make me even more sad

Yeah, that's the one. I'm not saying you should drop yours though, it could be pretty different, just the overall head-barrel long-scope thing is similar.

im trying something new that its still not yet available on the workshop, my idea is a new taunt for Dragon Knight
I was thinking about if it could fit the theme this month, because we are working on items this month and a taunt is a animation, but is treated as an item on Dota so i hope you guys consider that inside the rules
I created some simple controllers to drive the bones of the original rig. There is no fancy things like reverse foot bones or switchable ik and fk, im going for less time as possible on the rig to have more time for the rig =]

and here is the wip animation, it basically bashed the shield twice and point to the enemy. I think it could look really nice for a mid Dragon Knight
I still need to compile it and finish the animation, a lot of work till the end of the month!

Looks great, I really like the idea, it'd be really cool if after the pointing when he swings his sword back, he draws a line in the ground in front of him to go with the whole "come at me bro, I'll stand my ground" theme.

Awesome spear Lennyagony and DoubleLeaf/Bel, really good silhouette and looks great ingame! I feel like it could use a tiny bit of wear on the blade, but that's just me. You should post some progress shots so it gets added to the competition.
