The phone company keeps billing me hourly for no reason at all. 5 Halal ( about 1-2 euro cents ) and they said they'd turn that "function" off last time.
Today I wanted to go talk to them again but they didn't let me into the center because I wore short pants.
If an Arab walks into the center with short pants. No problem.
If a white guy walks into the center with short pants. Point at the sign which says no short pants.

It's over 45 degreees celcius here and I have to wear fucking long pants.
If you are alone as a male or female you're more prone to being rejected or harassed or whatever.
If you are in a group with friends/family whichever and you are female/male , those dress code rules can be bent and people don't say anything.
I can't argue with those people though and I have to politely bow my head and walk away.
After 7 years of experience as an animator in games, almost 4 as a technical animator I've spent the last 2 months struggling to get a new job due to my studio closing in London.
Seriously wtf is with that, tried film studios but since my reel is very game specific (low poly - rigs - tools ) I'm shit out of luck. Never have I felt this low about my chances.
And with that shame and being kicked out of my house I'm moving back in with the parents for a few months to re-bolster my self. Ah well, rent free..

Yup, that's the shitty part, where "regular" jobs would respect your experience the game industry has thousands of noobs willing to work twice as long for half the pay to produce something that's good enough to pass.

I've heard a similar story first hand from a storyboard artist with decades of experience and award winning films behind him being asked to submit 'work samples' for a shitty bottom-rung animation gig. This, just as animation in general was in a slump.
There seems to be very little respect in the entertainment industry for artistic skill unless you have a massive public following and can be used as a marketing tool. I'm desperately hoping to be proved wrong, of course.
Flynny - you're lucky to have a bolt-hole at your parents place. I hope you find a gig soon.
So having a 3 day weekend, and started with got a scratching throat Friday evening, sneezing and blowing my nose yesterday and coughing today. Oh, and a 'little' scare a couple hours ago, got a tightening of my chest and pain, freaked me out good. Got my roommate to keep me company for a bit just to keep an eye on me, am good now. If it happens again I'm off to the doctor. Might be my coughing and overdrinking tea/medicin, might have been some acid reflex that bundled up or something, I hope. But not fun, at all.
Worse thing was the fight of not doing a fake heartattack for my roommate, while waiting for it to go away. Guess I'm mature enough to know when the timing is good or bad.
50% christopher lee
50% people complaining about somebody being willing to pay lots of money for a fucking Rothko (ROTHKO!) painting apparently based on its content
I can't tell if that's sarcasm but I 100% believe that these ridiculous pieces that sell for millions of dollars have to be some sort of money laundering racket/scam.
I feel the same way about certain stores in the mall or in strip malls. How the hell do you make monthly rent selling nothing but sunglasses. It HAS to be a front for something ... there's no way.

yeah yeah! How many vacuum cleaners can you sell a day?!

Chicago plastics manufacturer Stefan Edlis faced more than $20 million in U.S. capital gains taxes by selling his Andy Warhol painting to billionaire Steven A. Cohen eight years ago.
He paid zero. Half of the proceeds from the $80 million sale of Warhols 1964 Turquoise Marilyn were tax exempt as an asset of Edliss private foundation, he said. The other $40 million was used to buy more paintings, which was permitted under a long-standing provision in the tax code that allows investors to defer capital gains by buying similar property of equal or greater value.

Its a very good financial tool for extending the value of your art holdings, said Dean Valentine, a Los Angeles-based collector who said he has done several 1031 exchanges in the past 18 months. Whatever profit you make can be reinvested in art instead of going down the government drain.
Yeap, summer is here and mosquitoes are partying hard in my room. The other night i had 4 of them dancing around me, i ended up chasing them in the middle of the night. It really fucks up with my sleep.
Game design student here. I really enjoyed the school year getting to work with all the programs and nice cintiqs and computers that can handle the necessary programs for this field. But now that I'm off for the summer and away from school, I've been feeling a lot of depression because I can't do any of my work anymore (I have a pretty decent laptop but it's not enough to run Maya for more than an hour without overheating).
I decided to pour all of my savings towards finally buying a new computer (my friend is going to help me build one). But until that happens all of my days are really lonely, depressing and boring. Hopefully soon I can do things again once this computer gets built. Until then, it's watching anime and looking through concept art I can't use yet.
My dog Ginger was put to sleep today after having a relapse with her cancer
She lived past the doctors estimate by 2 years when she last acted this sick, suddenly fell ill again this weekend and wouldn't eat/walk/breathed heavily, turned out the tumor grew from her liver down her chest.

A Rothko painting selling for $46 mil is easier to understand.
My weak job as a substitute teacher is going to end tomorrow.
I am depressed about everything.
( I did however apply to Lego and Disney, more to give me a feel good moment, but that's a like a Hail Mary pass in the middle of a Blizzard...)
This is just weird , no matter how you look at it.
I am done ! I got nothin on this ! Nope nope ....
